Perfect video, thank you! By the way, there was a problem with Volumetric Fog, there was no godrays from the clouds. I hope they fixed that problem because there was no such problem in 5.3, it was broken with 5.4. I think it was due to the Light Function's inability to correctly calculate the final positions etc. of the godrays.

That's great news, that we have collision now for the cloner! The recent updates gave me the motivation to learn UE5 motion design properly, so I logged into your 1 hour tutorial. Thanks to you and EPIC for providing such industry-grade information for free! But it looks, that the "Allow through tonemapper" dropdown is not there in 5.5 project settings anymore. And, probably because the material designer had changed so much, the first .spac file does not work correctly. However I will do the tutorial in 5.4 for now, being aware that some of the the material designer basics are outdated already 😁

Yea thats the tricky thing with doing courses with something as new as this because the tools will grow and update but hopefully I can get around to updating that course with how much the material designer has changed

Thanks so much for all the wonderfully helpful videos you make about Unreal Engine, and more recently its Motion Design mode. I hope you dont mind if I give you back just one tiny tip: you dont have to first select Motion Design mode from the dropdown on the left, because when you press the Motion Design button on the right it will automatically also put the user interface into Motion Design mode!

Great Tutorial Video Winbush! 👏🏾💯. Um question. Do you think it's a good idea that I can do things on 5.5?. Because I really wanna use megalights so much on my project that I currently have on 5.4 to 5.5 preview. But in 5.4 I had to disabled a few cast shadowing on current couple of pointlights, area lights, and spotlighting too to keep the optimization memory do well. And plus I know 5.5 is only a preview. And might have current bugs and glitches that is having in current few people that who's been using it on the copy projects. But I really don't feel like waiting for so long for the full release 5.5 to be published to next month on November 😩

Hello Mr Winbush! I apologize for the Paragraph, Ive been looking for help for days now haha. Kris Clemson told me you may have the info I need. I am going into the film industry as a beloved career however game development will always be a hobby and deep passion. I recently downloaded UEFN to accompany UE5 on my computer and had a problem with an asset I downloaded/imported to UEFN. It is an awesome Trex skeletal mesh with animations. It was improperly sized so I moved it to Blender, Shrunk it to about 4% original size, brought it back to UEFN as a "new" mesh. Its PERFECT until I add the animation and/or apply the Mesh Animation preset which, for me, applies multiple walking animations. Doing so reverts the mesh to it's original HUGE size and I am officially stumped. I've tried editing the animations in UEFN but it is not working... :/ Im positive you are incredibly busy but could you maybe point me to the right direction or another video? I know my friends, family, and I would really appreciate it.

Thank you for the cool video! This is the interesting tool. I tried to work with the cloner and its reflection from the boxes. It's useful. But I don't understand how to make the spheres inside the cloner also bounce off walls with transparent material. It seems like I've tried everything I understand, but the cloner still goes through the transparent boxes. But I want them to bounce "invisible walls". Do you know how to implement this? Please share this knowledge.

Thank you! What I am missing in Unreal is a way to just open a window with the camera-view, that shows the final render/render-view. No Guide-Lines, No rigs, no Icons and no debug-Text or anything like that. Just a render-view/clear camera view. But still I want a window with all these settings on, to edit the scene. So one editor-Window and one render-window. Sounds simple but I could not make it yet. Can you help me with that?

Hello, I copied the sphere mesh 500 times with cloner and I apply curl noise force with effector. Surface collision option is on, but some particles do not hit the surface, they pass through it. Can you help?

Is the Motion Design tools real time rendering? As in for live events/live broadcast? I ask because someone from Unreal Engine mentioned it was never meant for that.

@@JonathanWinbush I thought so! Thanks for the clarification! I think they said that in the context of using Motion Design with UMG/Blueprints. Though i think you could use Rive to make your 2D UI then import it into a Motion Design module scene/ environment, and hopefully trigger timelines

Only thing I can think of is maybe the Epic Games launcher needs to update but other than that it should be available the same way you downloaded 5.4

@@billB101 Yea I haven't personally run into that one yet and I put it on 3 machines I have here. Is it installed to the C drive? Anytime I put unreal on anything other than C it always gave me issues.
