The 2025 version of this is supposedly going in production in December 2024 then it’s supposed to release Q1 2025. The 2025 version will be 5120x2160 and will be either 160 or 240 hz.

Still my favorite display, the 45GR95QE model with the remote as the newer model does not have a remote. Currently testing the MSI 321URX and its pretty but I miss all that extra space especially when gaming.

I have the 27GS95QE I swapped to from the GR version. The HDR and brightness is much better. Gamer 1 seems to have the best looking gamma and black levels / contrast however the colors are very natural and desaturated. You can fix that in the control panel with digital vibrance up to 57-60% from 50% without it looking too overly saturated. I also suggest picking up one of the service remotes to flip off CPC enable (Vignette) and LEA refresh. Turning off LEA makes the highlights brighter by like 50-100 nits at times it seems. The vignetting is still there but only in brighter scenes. I was also curious what settings you used on your monitor.
@DisplayRealityАй бұрын
@@fattyusmcchubbs9200 basically what you said. Up to +10 digital vibrance helps a ton. With the remote do you have to redo the setting everytime you turn off the monitor?
@fattyusmcchubbs9200Ай бұрын
@@DisplayReality Unfortunately yes. It just takes like 5 seconds to do. I only really do it when I'm going to be playing a game in HDR or watch some kind of hdr content. With normal browsing and tooling around, it probably helps not to have the screen so bright anyways. A lot of the wallpapers will pop a fair bit more with CPC and LEA off and it looks fantasitc. The APL settings don't seem to have an effect like they did on my GR. I would spend 5-6 minutes every time turning all of them up to max (447) which brought the panel on par with GS. Now with the GS all I have to do is flip those other two and I'm done.
@DisplayRealityАй бұрын
@@fattyusmcchubbs9200 what if I leave on standby. Would I need to still redo settings? Any LG tv remote? Ill get one for a video
@fattyusmcchubbs9200Ай бұрын
@@DisplayReality Anyways what you do is you press Instart or ADJ. Turn on aging then press exit to quit the menu. Open it back up now you have more options. Go down to debug Oled and that's where the settings are. Once I flip them i go back to turn aging back off (It still keeps the settings until the monitor sleeps/turns off) because turning it off is what allows it to do the automatic pixel refresh/cleaning. Or you can leave aging on and run it manually every night.

How is the HDR on this monitor compared to the 32" QD-OLEDs? I've seen it can supposedly do 1300 nits on a 1% window and 750 at 10% window. Is this true in your subjective experience? Coming from one of those 4K OLED's, the poor HDR brightness and aggressive ABL have left me a bit wary of OLED monitors. Want to know if this is a viable or if I have to go for a TV for good HDR.
@DisplayRealityАй бұрын
I would say HDR is better on the 45" vs any 32". My main is my 45" vs my 32GS95UE or Samsung G80SD. Sdr and hdr are just best on the 45". Could be due to how oled looks better the bigger size you have it gets brighter and sustained longer.
@noidsuperАй бұрын
@@DisplayReality That’s great to hear. Have you tried any of the larger TVs like 55 inches? How does it compare to those since HDR tends to be pretty bright on them.
@DisplayRealityАй бұрын
@@noidsuper its the ultrawide no top and bottom black bars you want. A 55" tv in ultrawide would have black bars. Thats why I got this. But a tv say 55" is meant for tv, consoles etc.. tho I prefer ultrawide sometimes on certain games. Plus this looks cool.
