The Dominican Republic is A LOT MORE than just Casa de Campo and Punta Cana. We got everything. As a dominican born and raised, I would rather live here than in Europe(already lived abroad for awhile) despite the things we still gotta fix....Just the peace of mind and calmness most caribbean islands give is priceless. Thank you guys for this great channel and content just so people can learn more and open their minds.

@@DelightfulTravellers it was $350 without taxes right? Taxes are 18% + 10%. Anyways, great video! Thank you for showing this kind of stuff. Many people believe DR is only Punta Cana, Puerta Plata, sun, sand and beaches.

We have a condo about 5-7 minutes from the restaurants you visited on today’s video. Some of our other favorite places are Lila Modern Cuisine. You must try their Braised Short Rib Appetizer. Boga Boga - (a place that’s been around for over 60 years, and still going strong). Sit at the bar and order the Octopus and Croquettes. They also serve the most delicious garlic bread. This combination is a meal in itself. (Their Caesar Salad is also very good). Wu Asian Cuisine for their Tuna Tatar, and so many other dishes. Can’t go wrong with Casa Brava, Laurel, and if ever in the mood for something a bit more upscale - check out Restaurant Sully. Another institution, with a long track record. Salud & Bon Apétit!

Hello dear Anna & Trevor, we came back from our 2 weeks trip to DR and were in Cabarete watching your 'direct' online video and saw you on the side of the road going back to our hotel ... wishing to cross your path later on Cabarete but, unfortunately not. We loved Cabarete and Puerto Plata. We also discovered the west side of Santo Domingo and it's really completely different land comparing to the Colonial part, which we really love too. Really suprised with the content of this video, please stop making us starving at what you eat 🤣this is too much 😋 We already miss DR food soooo much here.
