I keep thinking Bauer is all about new names for ‘features’. The boots themselves are the least thermoformable of any brand, and the narrow toe cap rubs my toes.

CCM's FTW women's range is what I'm most excited for. Been using the pants and shoulders for a while, they fit so much better than regular gear. Curious how different the shins, elbows and gloves fit. Played around a little with the FTW stick too and I reckon that's gonna be my main stick this year. Just really glad to see CCM going all in on supporting female players, hope more manufacturers start doing that too.

More woman and girls play now so they can make money now. I wouldn't say CCM is doing it to support woman. Bauer started making intermediate sizing . You don't see other companies do that. It addresses size issues. Not everyone is tall right? I would agree companies need to step up to the plate more.

For 13 years, I trusted Graf in net and playing out, and probably logged somewhere around 15,000 hours on my Supras before the leather quite literally fell apart. Even then it hurt to retire them with their original holders and runners. Since that time I've tried the CCM Tacks line and the Bauer Vapor line and was entirely unimpressed, with the Bauer Supreme line coming closest to that holy grail. Luckily, a shop nearly 3 hours away has become a Graf dealer, and I'll (hopefully) be ordering my next pair within the next month or two. Very excited to see what's new with Graf, and your thoughts on their newest product(s). VH skates revolutionized goaltending equipment in a good way. Given how fantastic the 6.0 and 5.2 sticks were, True acquiring VH was a dream come true. Since then I've had nothing but trouble with their sticks, and the occasional complaint regarding their SVH line of skates is enough to scare me away. Hopefully with their production sorted, they'll get back to making fantastic equipment and restore their reputation. As always, fantastic content, and I look forward to seeing more in the future.

Looking forward to the Warrior and D’Cosi skates if they finally drop in 2024. Same goes for the aluminum/magnesium Sprung chassis for roller that finally has working prototypes making the rounds.

I have to agree with you on the Ccm skates. I switched from Bauer vapors which were killing my feet to the Ccm ft6 skates. The comfort and performance of the ft6 is significantly better than the vapor line.

Some guy at a local shop is hinting at a new design for a CCM Hybrid cage, but I've not found any details online about it. Vaporware, or is this gonna actually be a hybrid worth considering?

You know I see alot of kids with True sticks...more then adults. Its true about the duribility issues with True in comparison to Bauer and others. Kids don't have powerful shots so less issues. I like the feel of their sticks...love there skates over other companies. I wear there skates.

I really feel the hyperlites are just hollowed out carbon boots, Mach skates feel more substantial and if you can’t get new skates every 4 months I’d go with Mach if you fit in them

The Cat 9 had a ton of quality control problems from the factory. Stuff like warped steel from the holders being mounted improperly, carbon shell peeling, to players complaining of boot expansion (no longer tightly moulded to the foot) during a game. YET, True gets a glowing review and a pass from HT for the Cat 9's.

Save your money and forget about the ccm ft-6 pro lineup. Stick and skates might be fine but the protective gear is just awful. It's almost single-handedly turned me into a straight bauer buyer.

FT6 pro shoulder pads and elbow pads are solid upgrades from the FT4 Pros. Pants and shins? Meh. And if you think Bauer’s Hyperlite protective line is better than CCM’s Jetspeed line, uh…, clearly you’re joking

@@mattm1296 honestly I dont think anyone has anything good right now. Ive tried on the FT6 pro elbows and shoulders, not impressed. Bauer never looks good. Problem is always elbow pads, the FT6Ps still feel like they are sliding off just trying on. Im still using STX elbow pads from like 2 yrs ago because despite the straps stretched a bit, the sleeve type system they use is still good to go. Im clearly biased on not having a seperated elbow. Shoulder pads I go either way. Yeah theyre cool and light, but I dont know, I ll buy some when I see an extreme discount. I really want to try on Sherwood stuff tho. My Code TMP Pro gloves are the best gloves Ive worn to date. No more CCM FTs for me, SW seriously hit those out of the park. So good.

Mach skates are sick but garbage! The toe caps crack and come apart really fast. Hyperlite line is definitely superior to literally everything you mentioned 😅 true sticks are complete shit. Hzrdus px stick last 3-5 games for almost $400. Junk hyperlites last 8months or more
