I absolutely despise that woman & always have. It's one thing to have news shows and even dramatize news to an extent to get people's attention. What she does goes so far beyond that. First, she's a human vampire vulture, feeding off of the misery of others- usually normal people who wake up one day, or come home from work or grocery shopping or something and discover their loved one is missing or murdered and they're suddenly in the middle of a nightmare no one can even begin to prepare for. She's peppering them with personal questions in their most vulnerable state on live TV sometimes, then SHE decides their guilt or innocence within hours, usually based on something asinine like whether they've cried enough to satisfy her or how many people they dated in high school or maybe they had the audacity to go out and eat a meal with family or be seen laughing at something someon said. Then uses her platform of network tv to broadcast her "expert" opinion to millions about why this person is guilty or innocent, often influencing community involvement in the investigation & harassment of the family.

Egging on someone who is trying to come down from a flight or fight response that lasted almost a year just pushes them to stay in flight or fight. They worry about getting through the day and not about planning for anything. Deflecting, disassociating, shutting down and lashing out is pretty darn typical of assault and kidnapped victims. So true. There are so many cultures around the world that blame women for the things that happen to them by someone else's hand. It's gross. You'd think with how "elevated" the US is, we'd be doing better about that. Nope. All the incels here just make excuses like, "they're all just crying wolf, making uo stories and is US who gets screwed over," or "its easy for a women to fake a report about SA." Like, nobody's denying women can't be monsters, too. The vast majority of these cases aren't faked, though, and believe they are as a rule is just so backwards. You'd think if people really believed these victims weren't behaving like victims do, allegedly, they take it upon themselves to figure out a way to stop the process of making victims in the first place. Nope to that, too. People just want to speculate and pat themselves on the back for "figuring it out" in their own minds. This country is seriously sick. So much wrong.

What an amazing young lady. To have the ability to forgive this man and see him as a human after enduring all that she went through. The wisdom she has to never take another sunrise or sunset for granet . Everything to her is more precious. She is truly a remarkable young lady. For someone so young to have the strength and the wisdom to try to befriend the monster and keep her wits. That is astonishing. I don't believe many adults would have had that kind of strength. She will go far in life. I hope she is talking to children in schools and sharing her story that may someday save another child. May God continue to bless her.

This is a true testament of faith, humanity, and humility. When no one on the Earth in this current age, there are not many people like Abby and she’s definitely genuine. Her spirit is powerful and I hope that I can have patience and humility like Abby it shows you that light will always overcome darkness. I think it’s unfair that he got only 45 to 90 years. He deserved a life without parole.

What a sweet girl. After everything, her speech was just truth and kindness. No anger. Sadness yes.. but you can tell she is an amazing person.

"Abby's story is truly haunting. Disappearing without a trace at just 14 and then suddenly reappearing after nine long months-it’s unimaginable what she and her family must have endured. This case serves as a chilling reminder of the resilience and strength some people find within themselves in the darkest times. Her return is a miracle, but the trauma and mystery surrounding her disappearance leave a lasting impact. A story like this stays with you."

I hope she knows how incredibly brave and strong she is. I don’t know you but I am proud of you for standing up to that monster and showing him, HE DID NOT BREAK YOU.. and instead, you broke him, down to the point of letting you go . Despite what others had said about your truth, You still stood tall and faced him in that court room, Ripping him apart.Proving everything you went through. That’s a powerful and strong woman.. don’t ever let anyone tell you different

Yeah that's why he doesn't need to put these horrible annoying stock videos. For exemple when he mention her coming back from school, we don't need to see an unrelated stock videos of a freaking school bus. Stock footage is the cancer of true crime videos...

I hope every person that ever doubted her is never able to sleep again at night remembering the torture that girl went through. It’s infuriating they’ll never have any consequences for the conspiracies and hatred they spread. Her incredible victim impact statement proves exactly who she is. This girl at 14 was 10x the adult any of them were.

When she walked in her house calling for her mother after being missing for nine months. Can you imagine what her mother was feeling at that moment? To have her abducted daughter in her arms again must have felt so good. An overwhelming relief that she was safe and alive. So many people wrongly judged this young girl and every one of them should be ashamed of themselves. Only God can judge you. He should be the only one to judge you. But yet every person on this planet judges people for things they shouldn't be judging anyone about. When something like this happens to a young girl giving forgiveness to her captor just shows how strong and beautiful she is. I hope she is doing well in life. No doubt this situation has changed her forever.

This was no one’s business “ we just want some answers”, like Abbie owes you a dam thing? Abbie was dealing with this as best as she could. Amazing strength for a minor.. her smarts kept her alive ands the love of her family brought her home. So happy this case has somewhat of a happy ending!!

I forgot about this story. This is a very good example of a modern-day missing person case. It's gross how people always blame the victim. How smart do they think teens are?

That sentence is weak because he only needs to do 2/3 of 45 years before he's eligible for parole. He should have gotten life with no parole possible. The inept prosecutors suck.

That's when he will be eligible for parole don't mean he will get it. Courts might make him do the full sentence

Every single person who publicly voiced their doubt of her kidnapping, who called her a liar, a problem teen, etc… should be given a choice. Public apology directly to Abby or pay her a fine for slander.

This video is so moving and incredible. Abby’s resilience is unbelievable, and the way she found strength in such horrific circumstances is a testament to the human spirit. It makes me wonder, can people who are kidnapped actually “surrender” or “make peace” with their captors like this? Should this be called a survival tactic, or is it a form of betrayal?
@heatherjackson252010 күн бұрын
No most people can't act the way that she did getting out of her horrible situation simply for the fact that the vast majority of people cannot control their emotions or their level of fear / panic
