I came to today's lesson with a prayerful desire to have my wounded heart healed because of the hatred that is pulling my beloved country apart. I express to you my deepest and profoundest love and appreciation for your willingness to be THE Physician's assistant. You are helping me to learn how to apply the balms of Gilead. Your love of the scriptures, our Savior and our Heavenly Father have inspired me to do all that I can to prepare my heart, mind and soul to receive all that my Heavenly Father has in store for me. And because of that the spirit prompted me to make things right with a person that I was not being 100% honest with. And because of this repentance my heart was fully prepared for the ointment the spirit provided from this lesson. Thank you again and may God bless you.

What a beautiful comment--thank you so much for sharing it. I'm grateful the Spirit was able to lift you, and impressed with the softness of your heart that allowed Him to work in you. There are many "balms of Gilead," but repentance is one of the most soothing of all.

April Hiatt just read your comment...this teacher is amazing....I have found that true repentance, even daily repentance is the healing balm..It took me many years to realize that I needed to forgive Myself, with the Lord, once I was able to do this, a new freedom opened up in my life. Keep up the good work😇

Thank you for sharing your thought. It means a lot to all of us to hear a now joyful heart but that's not all. What you have written is written in Heaven and the angels Rejoice and so the angles captures every tier fallen from the eyes of the broken hearts when love is applied instead of anger. Thank you so much for sharing your heart with the rest of us❤

So appreciate your focus on the principle of reciprocity here. Calling out the dignity in those we seek to help is some of the greatest help to them.

Beautifully said. I agree. There can't be "pride from above" or "pride from below" if we work to eliminate "aboves" and "belows"!

I love how you teach the Scriptures using metaphors to something we can relate to, like telling your friend they can move in to your parent‘a house before asking your parents if it’s OK :-) that is how I like to teach my children. I tell them the story in the Scriptures and then I relate it to something that might happen in their daily life

Thank you! I agree--finding analogies that are a little closer to home really helps the scriptures come to life so we can see their relevance. Your kids are blessed to have a mother who teaches them! I had the same blessing, and it made all the difference!

As you spoke about being distinguished by certain names, I thought of how others want to call us the people of Mormon and we want to be named as the people of Jesus Christ. A good parallel for me to think about.

Great point! There's a lot to the idea of naming--and the problems that come when we let others name us, instead of taking the name that God intends. Thanks for sharing!

Loved these lessons! Thanks for helping me to feel the spirit today. I, sadly, did not see how to connect to the fifth lesson.

You're welcome! I'm glad they were a blessing to you. It took me a while to finish up the 5th part, so it probably wasn't up yet when you finished the 4th segment (way to beat me to the punch!). But part 5 is up now, so hopefully you can find it. It includes some of my favorite principles from this week!

Bro Halverston, can I ask where you got the presentation of destruction at the beginning of each of these? Did you put it together or where can I find it please?? And THANK YOU. For these AGAIN!! INCREDIBLE insight and teaching 💖

Thank you for your enthusiasm for scripture study! I made the intro, in hopes of setting the stage for what the channel is trying to accomplish. So much spiritual "shaking" going on out there. I'm grateful for the steadiness the gospel brings.

We LOVE going through each of these videos each week. You have opened many of the “mysteries of God” to us. However, we dislike tremendously this new “gloom and doom” video intro. It is totally out of tune with your positive, uplifting messages. It’s a real turn-off. Please find another way to introduce what “unshaken” is all about. Bless you.

Thank you for that feedback! Others have said they like it, so I'm grateful to have both perspectives. My only hope was to set the stage that we need to fortify our faith to remain "unshaken," but I can definitely see how the "gloom and doom" can come across from that. Thanks again for letting me know. I'll have to give it some more thought.
