The outbreak was like nothing the world had seen before. Peoples lives were changed forever, and worldviews were shattered. Some people died twice, the first death being their sanity, and the last from the bite of a Turned. In order to combat this anomalous threat, a global organization was formed in the wake of the apocalypse. This organization, consisting of multiple countries allying together, would be the front lines in the war with the Turned. They are the Coalition.

Personally I believe the Coalition is the unturned universe’s version of the UN, with the UN irl being founded in 1945 we can assume that the coalition was founded around the same time, so they are around to not only write that note on the Windigo but also drop the airdrops on the arid map (1982), but the Windigo isn’t just a branch, it’s also the ones who sell the supplies given to them by the high command to groups like Vermillion and Scorpion 7, as well as keeping Scorpion 7’s first virus test under wraps (Arid)

I’m not buying the conspiracy, it just doesn’t seem right. So here’s my theory. The Coalition is this universes United Nations and they’re trying to rebuild themselves and NATO. That explains why they have ranks and supplies lined up for people joining. I think the reason for Greece being hesitant to join is them simply doubting the success of the Coalition, irl UN is a mixed bag. As for explaining the wendigo situation, my best guess is wendigo was a weapons manufacturer that the Coalition contracted during the 80’s. The Coalition not being around until the apocalypse is simply them just not really doing much, the UN irl isn’t utilized much. That’s just my theory, great video! I absolutely love the story of unturned simply because it leaves a lot of room for people to make their own head cannons, there’s plot holes on purpose and we’re responsible for filling them in.

That intro is outstandingly amazing. But the conspiracy theory perhaps got me thinking, could the Coalition be a paramilitary group formed just in-case a mass disease or apocalypse broke out? I mean, it is definitely possible that a disease which causes a 'zombie' apocalypse if you'd want too call it that could outbreak in real life. The worlds governments could prepare for an event like this.

the arid map's newspapers date back to 1984, the wendigo ship does too. someting tells me that these two are connected. i think the same time rift that cause the wendigo ship to appear in modern day easter island also warped water zombies from easter island to arid, starting a parallel universe outbreak that started WAY earlier. just speculation though. probably has holes.

Maybe there could be random survivors 1-3 fighting zombies or are captured by bandits like in Dying Light, and you could rescue them. Maybe even in an upcoming map you could be ranking up to a commander rank and then you would betray the coalition because you found out they were planning to take over the world

I really like the conspiracy theory, the fact that the coalition could be this universes illuminate is interesting, plus, if the windego is carrying some of the strongest weapons and arid being one of the first places we see the coalition (chronological) and both occurrences taking place roughly around the same years, then it may be likely that the coalition was going after smaller governments with their high power tech in order to amass a more larger army

a theory i have is that the Wendigo Coalition Division is from the future, and that the reason their ship and the weapons they had suddenly appeared already sunken, as if some tech on the ship was sent with it, and it was already sunken as a means to not allow the tech to come into the hands of evil doers. but something activated the tech, leading to the ship appearing in the past again, which a group found and then founded the Coalition afterwards, ising the tech and other info to prepare for the coming outbreak.

Thought I may put forward my own theory: 1: The Coalition comes from Elver 2: Elver is roughly 20/50 years ahead of the normal UnTurned universe in terms of technology 3: The Wendigo actually comes from Elver, because think about it. Elver had some of the most advanced weapon tech, and only they could have realistically been able to put together such powerful weapons. Outbreak happens, Wendigo attempts to get their fancy shit out of Elver, puts it onto Wendigo, something goes wrong, Wendigo teleports to other world 4: When the Wendigo mysteriously ended up in our world, the US quickly got their hands on the ship, but did not share this discovery with other goverments. 5: Pharmaceutical Companies attempt to actually develop a vaccine for the virus, but experiments get out of control and bam, global outbreak. And this ties neatly into my final point: There is no evidence to support the fact that the world in which Elver resides ever got overrun, and frankly, they are the only people capable of organizing airdrops and such. There are a lot of holes in the theory, but thought it would be neat to share

What if.. The liberator actually left belgium on it own? So as far we know, there is one person in belgium who is actually the good guy, what if he told the coalition what has been happening there? The truth? The experimente? And during this time, they decided to Leave belgium on their own since of the reports of that soldier who was the good guy (because it may cause even more problem) to help Kuwait after receiving reports that the military were still up but had an Unknown status? It would also explain the frecuent air drops in the área and the presence of the coalition hoping to get in contact with the survivors on concord

This man speaks straight fax. Were they involved in the arid map someway, it is also set in the 1980s in the Soviet Afghan war so maybe they could have been the PMC that were hired to take down the American Embassy at Fort Knell. And where tf is Australia in this? Captain Sydney could have been from Australia as well. I remember seeing a video by SirAdy on the coalition(slightly outdated) that said she and the coalition itself could've been formed in Australia

While unturned lore is overwhelmingly based off of conspiracy theories, I don't really think it's fair to apply that same lens to the Coalition considering current events. Roswell, occultism, etc are all harmless conspiracy theories, they have little if anything to do with modern day politics or lives or whatever whereas conspiracy theories about the UN and especially pandemics are modern ones that have very real effects and have harmed the lives of millions. I don't think Nelson intends to platform those ideas
