My algorithm must’ve just found this channel today but I’m liking what I’m seeing so far. I have a lift 33, 29.5” draw, 70lbs mod (73lb draw weight), 436gr Easton Axis 5mm and am consistently getting 293-294FPS through the chrono(same garmin). If be curious if you increased your draw length (just for testing) to see how much more speed you could get.

Glad you found the channel and thanks for watching! Draw length plays more of a factor to the speed of the bow than the poundage. Increasing my draw 1” or 1.5” will increase the speed by 10-15fps. Maybe I’ll have to do this in a future video! Thanks for the idea 😃

It's awesome how you can change the poundage on the newer bows. I just changed the draw length on my Creed and had to buy a new cam off eBay.

Pretty interesting isn’t it? It doesn’t help that my draw length is a littler shorter but once you get into those longer draw lengths the speed starts to pick up.

You would need a different spine arrow at these draw weights so it's really less of a difference than it would indicate. You'd need like a 260 at 80, 300 at 70, and 340 at 60...

You are correct, but you could build an arrow at the same weight with a different spine.

crazy what dl can do. Lift 33 30.5"/65#/80% mods turned down to 62.5# 441 grain arrow at 287 garmin chrono. Dropped down to 30" mod and will crank it up to 65# and my arrow weight is now 465. Hoping to be close to 280. My shoulder is trashed so no more big weight for me. Thanks for the video.

I ran a 340 spine. I know it was a little weak for 80 pounds but I wanted to keep everything consistent.

In comparison if anyone is interested!!! my Omnia at 65lbs and 27.25 draw with 411g arrow averages 283 fps! Just for comparison info purposes! I am not putting any other bow company down, Mathews makes great bows just find that the Elite suited me better! 👍

Omnia is a great bow, their CS in Europe leaves a lot to desire though. But I do miss my Omnia, despite now (after half a year) shooting my PSE better.

I’ve had the Omnia and I have a 30 draw and shoot 70 pound on it with a 425 grain set up and barely got 280 so either your crono is off really bad or your talking out your head the omnia by cam design has one of the slowest fps in the bow market

@@yournotthatguypal9749 chrono may very well be wrong! i was only stating what i get from my chrono consistantly! maybe your chrono was off! who knows what chrono was off, no reason to say someone is talking out thier ass!!! you could probably do 3 shots each through 10 different chrono's and never get a consistent reading!!! so again was just sharing what the chrono i shot through reads.

That's interesting. I wonder how much faster the 29.5 is? My Phase 4 29 is getting 299fps currently. 75#, 28" draw, 420gr arrow.

What's your drawlenght? At 28,5" 60# my PSE does 281fps with a 415gr arrow. The mathews seems quite inefficient at 60#

Hey there! My draw length is 27.5” and the arrow weight was 433.8 grains. So having an inch less of draw and about 18 more grains of arrow weight put the speed at 257.6 FPS.

@@farmsteadoutdoors It more seems to fall like 10fps short, we're talking about a 343fps bow. I'm not impressed, it seems to lose too much on 60#, the other DW were fine, just the 60# seems off. Not criticizing you, You're just reporting what you read.

My draw length is 27.5 inches. I know draw length plays a big roll in bow speeds so if you're a longer draw you'll get much faster speeds. Thanks for checking out the video!

Mach 30 at 75lbs with 28 1/2 draw 550 grain arrow 275-280 fps

Super happy with it. Started at 80lbs and 450 grains and it just seemed too unstable. Took lbs off and add grains till I found a good solid combo I beleive. Can’t wait till season. Great video !

Why would you same weight arrow. test it at a specified grains per pound. Of course the speed will slow down considerably for.75 to 80 pound draw weight.

I have pse omen 80# set at 29”. Shooting a 457gr arrow at 320fps. Shot my buddys 385gr arrow at 357 fps😂
