Do you own a Nespresso Machine and suddenly, it is showing a half red and half green flashing light. Watch this to show what it is AND how to resolve it. Link to the Nespresso Descaler used is: amzn.to/41n6H30

My god... This is better explained than the latest video (1month ago) that nespresso uploaded. Mine, when showing the double color light it wouldn't enter descaling, it would just turn off, but doing it as you did since turning on FINALLY got me to the descaling mode lol! Ty, very helpful

I'd expect this video to have a million views. I'm usually good with written instructions, but in this case, I'd have better luck with a back flip and solving 17 algebra equations. The steps are ridiculous and could have been reduced simply by holding buttons for a longer duration. I understand now. Thanks for the walk through!

Really helpful thank you! I’d recommend popping the used descaling solution into your kettle after use, to give that a spruce up!

Instead of the descaler, thats imo a tat expensive. You could use kitchen white vinegar diluted with water 70/30 ratio. ( NOT CLEANING VINEGAR ). I just fill it up, and descale it with that (sometimes letting it sit) works great with kettles etc too. I clean mine about once a week
@ratemygadgets Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, not a bad idea. I am always reluctant to go away from the branded option BUT as you say, a weekly cheaper option is maybe better. Can't vouch for the vinegar solution but take your word for it. Please do subscribe and like the video as really helps me
@seaherne Жыл бұрын
Are you sure? They say explicitly to not use vinegar...
@FutaNoKami Жыл бұрын
@@seaherne It's the same as them saying "Only use nespresso pods" instead of homebrands etc. Its basically to retain their market shares. People tend to follow manufacturers > tried and true methods. The main acid thats inside these kits is citric acid. which is almost the same PH as vinegar. I dilute the vinegar with a 50/50 or 70/30 if its really gunked. For a test, i once used a kit ( not from nespresso but for a SAGE or Brevile machine) the tablets that are primarily citric are quite a bit more potent since its a more pure solution. I basically cleaned out the boiler to bare copper. Whilst with the vinegar I had to do two flushes to get it to that point. Other then the slight PH difference, the only downside is the smell that you get whilst cleaning. Some people mind it. But 9euros a kit vs a bottle of vinegar for a euro that i can do multiple flushes with. I rince my machines every week or two, so i honestly dont preffer these kits. In the end its basicaly a consideration of price for me.

Yes, that makes sense. Thank you for the lower priced option to descale.

I have this but I have just descaled it and I can’t get rid of this blinking red/yellow light…
@Guitarbarella Жыл бұрын
So the cause of issue is that after running a descaling/rinse cycle, be sure to MANUALLY EXIT special mode by pressing button and lever at the same time for three seconds until you see full green circle flashes. After that, let the machine cool down for about 10 minutes before making a coffee.

@Llamachick2 Жыл бұрын
The secret at the end is that you CANNOT leave it alone while it’s working. You need to hold down the button and lever as soon as it’s finished for 3 seconds. That’s what completes the cycle. If you don’t do that it will shut down from unuse and assume it wasn’t completed, meaning you need to start over the rinse cycle. 😅

2 hrs later and it still won't come out of descalling mode and now got a solid red ring pulsing!!!!! This machine is destined for the bin in the yard ive had enough and no coffee today. Ive only just purchased £150 ,of capsules too so mega annoyed. A simple job made so complex when a slider switch on the back would suffice. 😢
