A Noodle dish with Chicken and vegetables. Absolutely delicious (aroi). Fresh crisp vegetables. The chicken (Gai) was kept in a chiller. I didn't want it too spicy (Phet) little bit (Nit Noi). All freshly cooked in front of you, into a bowl and into your mouth. Ok now the bill (Bin). 40 baht $AUD1.25 It doesn't get better than that. If I film a vendor then I pay double the price so in this case $AUD2.50. Absolute BARGAIN!!!!! for fresh healthy food. A Motocycle Taxi guy came up and was making a bit of a joke with the Vendor. All good fun.

ignorance people whining about the hygiene of freshly cooked food yet turn a blind eye on the GM food and chemical processed food! the man in this video is a very honest and fair businessman. here in hong kong, if you want to have that amount of ingredients in a restaurant you have to at least pay three times more. and that extra money you pay won't go to the hygiene and quality of service, it only goes to the rental, staff salaries and owner's profits!

OldSchoolLad Hey sport, that "freshly cooked" food you are referring to in this video had lots of M.S.G. in it from those not so fresh seasoning packets that guy dumped in the noodles. I will say he did cook this hot enough in the wok to kill the nasty bugs but adding the MSG sort of cancelled that effort out. It would have been much better with a little soy sauce, some hoisin, maybe some peanut oil or sesame seed oil and some ginger. But that is just my opinion. My opinion and $2.50 will get you a cup of coffee in most fast food place here in the States.

i appreciated that the food is freshly cooked, and you see how they cook it, in my country, usually the food is already cooked and they will just serve it to you, not even hot and you dont know if its cook today or maybe yesterday. im not against the vendors here but there are times that I bought a dish almost cover with mold and there instances that there are maggots moving on the food. its so disgusting, so i salute this kind of job. thumbs up to this guy.

Love it, and would love to go back to Thailand if only for the street food! I was in Thailand in 2003 (Bangkok, Cha-Am/Hua Hin/Kanchanaburi/Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai/Mae Sai), 2006 (Phuket), and a one day/night BKK layover in 2007, and would like to visit/experience other destinations in Thailand. I really enjoy the SE Asian street-style instant noodles and make it often. I have a commercial grade outdoor propane wok burner and well-seasoned Mandarin and Cantonese style woks of different sizes (next addition will be a 14” Peking pow-style wok that’s slightly deeper for hand tossing/folding the food during cooking) that produce good wok hei. I tend to run a higher flame for a shorter cooking time with my noodles, which come out very tasty. Next I need to learn other Thai street food dishes, in addition to learning more Chinese & Malaysian/Indonesian dishes, plus at least a couple of Cambodian, Vietnamese and Lao dishes.

Yum! There are so many things that you can do with Indo mie or Mama brand instant noodles. In the US we tend to think of instant noodles as "welfare" food, but if you put some effort and some add'l ingredients, it becomes a dish fit for a king (or queen).
@ringo1979
@ringo1979 10 жыл бұрын
Stop mocking about the "instant" noodle part uneducated people. Come back when you know more about the Thai food scene. And stop using the word "Ramen" which is a Japanese noodle soup dish k? What the street vendor makes is Phad (stir fried) MAMA (or Wai Wai). The noodles are usually from the MAMA or Wai Wai brand (All Thai brands!). They have a very different flavour compared to your regular egg noodles. Phad MAMA is a dish in itself. It tasty and definaitly worth a try. There are more dishes using these type of noodles. Even salads! Nice vid btw =)

In Thailand, the so-called ramen instant noodles are commonly used to make a dish like this, which is called "Mama Pad" ("Mama" = famous brand of instant noodles "Pad" = stirfried). Instant noodle has a unique taste, and a firmer texture than the fresh ones, so it is more suitable for this cooking.

people dont need to be so judgemental - sometimes street food sellers turn out to be better cooks that big and renowned hotel cooks. These sellers dont have access to expensive cuisine equipment, yet they master the art of culinary skills with amazing ease.

Thai food are more flavour compared to the one outside country cuz they have to adapt it so you all can eat easily but if you get real dish in thailand , sometimes you get more spicy but its so good

Fresh chicken, cabbage, 1 egg (or 2 if you like, but wouldn't go more), broccoli, 2 slices of onion (that's my personal addition :P), and 1/2 tea spoon of mild chilly powder. Get it all cooked in a little bit of olive oil and serve warm (not hot so you don't damage your teeth). Delicious :D.
