When you say "this is Lisa and Peggy" my brain comes in with the Hamilton line. "...and Peggy!" Your hot takes have become one of my favorite things on your channel, and I love that it means I don't really have to go to Kickstarter myself and search "tarot" every month 😂 I was surprised to actually be kind of interested in the Sacred Cycles one. I like the way it's described fairly inclusively. As a queer non-binary femme who is dysphoric about the way periods are linked to gender and pregnancy, I used to pretty much avoid ANYTHING like this, but I've been finding in my moon work and overall cyclical work that I DO want some kind of connection to the cycles of my body and nature, just in a way that doesn't rely on essentializing gender language. It's a kind of... reclaiming of those systems and cycles that my body engages with for ME, a nonbinary person. Putting a lot of emphasis on that, err, region of the body 😂 is dysphoric for me, but given the way my ENTIRE body fluctuates hormonally at different times, I find myself wanting to be more in touch with that (esp as a sensitive Cancer moon/rising bean who is very affected by Mama Moon!) I'd have to see the specific cards to be sure, but it looks like maybe I could use this one for that work, even just taking a few cards out if needed. Thanks for including it! It was just an offhand reference but Wisdom of the Shadow OMG might grab preorder. Cool that Mystic Mondays is doing another deck! The original was one of my first handful of decks and I found it surprisingly intuitive and connecting--it didn't behave at all how I'd have expected just based on the neon color palette. I agree with you, though, that keywords on an animal deck are really helpful! It's a fine line between TMI on the cards and not enough, but I like a single keyword or phrase. Peggy being shocked that you were serious about a low-buy year was my favorite thing 😂 I've stopped trying to set specific targets on deck buying, because it mostly makes me feel guilty, but I AM doing things like whenever I want to buy a deck quickly, look at the top of my wishlist and ask myself "do I really want this new one MORE than this thing on the top of my list?" and also watching full walkthroughs esp. if it's tarot to be sure there's nothing that will annoy me. 😂

ppps I have the first edition Mother Tarot, I was so freaking excited, and it is in fact great (particularly the way the images can directionally flow in a spread, similar to Dark Days), but HA yes that Lovers Card!!! I adore it but it's A LOT I actually have a tarot study video coming up on the Lovers and I left that one out cause I didn't want KZbin to cancel me. 😂 But hey, your channel survived it!

I'm definitely with you on wanting keywords on oracle cards. The only "valid" exception I can think of is Seed & Sickle, which has two different interpretations for each card, depending on whether you're using the Dawn or Dusk guidebook - and I love that deck enough to work on learning the meanings

Cheralyn Darcey did Magical Herb Oracle Deck and The Green Witch Oracle Deck, I have the Magicakl Herb, Am loving the World Visions Tarot, add that to my wishlist, for my Birthday gift to myself(in July). The Blue Deviant Tarot looks really good!!! Am excited of the Heavenly Blooms Tarot but I will be sitting on it for quite some time, I posted on Supportive Tarot of my 3 deck buy for 2022, all two are coming out in Spring and one coming out in June(?) Three of them are Oracles and Mass Market. The Baroque Tarot is Gorgous and SCREAMS for Dustin & Dani Deck!! Secrets of the Wand Woods will pair very well with any of Paulina Cassidy Decks!! (Just saying). Glad Peggy got to tag along with this episode, always enjoy watching the to of you together, had a good time watching this video.

I am sorry for being late on your videos. I took a break a bit because I was having migraines and looking at screen was hard so I only could see some videos and I didn't want to be crousing by your videos without any comment :) .. I am excited to have Peggy in the journey :D .. this look less serious and more fun - The Sacred Cycle : I am not yet in the same show; soon to be (?) .. I picked the "Believe in Your Own Magic" oracle because I still have healing to do before I do a nurturing job. - Mystic Monday decks : I have ahuge issue with illustration that are not lined and that's why I didn't pick the tarot and won't pick the oracle :) - Oracle of roses .. I love roses but sorry I hardly do with herbal studying. I am also lazy on that XD .. so nope .. no more studying plants unless trees .. if that was an oracle for tree .. I would be a sucker .. I connect to that a lot. - Harry potter / Alice.. I am waiting to get the perfect tarot and oracle deck. Same for Alice in Wonderland. I missed on Baba Studio deck and I can't just go with anything. So .. themed tarot and oracle decks .. I am still deciding because I want one for each .. not a collection. [Also Lisa you actually hate when the messages on the back of the card, if I remember correctly. I am not sure you'll actually use it] - Heavenly Bloom tarot .. I am not going to use it but I'd love to see it. It is too artistic and anime style - Oracle of light and dreams is again a lovely art but nothing speaks to me too. - The world of visions tarot .. fantasy art isn't something I like in my decks .. I am so picky about that. I question the majors but I love the minors! The pentacles are gorgeous! I love them. I will put this on the [to be checked when people start reviewing it] .. after all, I only buy decks after seeing lots of flip throughs and reviews :D - The mother tarot .. I donno why but it doesn't call for me. it is gorgeous though :) .. Roses are actually a quite sacred symbol for some of those who work with Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, and other pre-Catholic Italian goddess veneration/ancestral work. That's why that oracle may be of particular interest to many of us (me included- I have been desperate for a rose-specific deck!)

Hi! I can get how that might throw some off, but if it helps to give some context; it's a Marseille deck, which traditionally had the 4's and 9's of the majors be written out because it was ideologically seen as additive as opposed to reductive (as a progression of trumps, it makes sense that each number adds on from the last) I'm sure I'm explaining this terribly, but there are a lot of Marseille resources that go into it a lot more clearly!
