I agree with Peggy, that one Empress absolutely looks like a Sea Monkey. 🤣 There is a full walk through of the Wandwood Oracle deck now, from the creator. If you want to see the whole deck. Not my style, but cute. I just downloaded the Say Yes to the Deck guide and workbook! I love it!!! 🥰 I've already pre-ordered the new edition of the Reclaim Oracle, even though I basically just got the last edition. The new cards did it for me...

Definitely a buyer beware situation on preorders. I preordered Into the Lonely Woods Oracle through Amazon with a delivery of Jan 2nd then it changed to Feb 12th - March 23rd. THEN it changed again to Feb 2nd and arrived on Feb 2nd. Ugh! Love your hot takes videos and now it’s time to print Peggy’s worksheet! Lol

I am really tempted by the Aboriginal Goddess and the Hummingbird (even with possible typos). I’m also tempted to design a Tarot of the Sea Monkeys. 😄 I’m backing Elemental North and Wand Wood, and was watching both campaigns before they started. I’ve already forgotten the name of that last deck that you guys really liked, but I think I am going to be investing some effort in talking myself out of it (help! Peggy, why should I not buy this?) because I really am trying to cut back. The Elemental North is beautiful and I feel like it has things to teach me. Wand Wood, well, I have the Arboridium and three Matlock the Hare books, I love the characters, I love the world, the only way I wouldn’t back this one is if I was hit with total financial devastation.

Re the deck with the word “crespuscule”(sp)…it’s possible that its meaning is “crepuscular” which refers to animals that are most active at dawn and dusk, like rabbits, deer, and even cats. Just guessing.

I LOVE the Trionfi Della Luna! I picked it over Deviant Moon. And I've been anxiously awaiting the illustrated minor version since it was hinted at years ago. I'm kinda into the surprise, honestly, because I was gonna get it no matter what xD And wow, I'm suuuuper tempted by the Elemental North Tarot! It's so magical. It really makes me like... proud to be a witch!

Oops, the Trionfi fell into my shopping cart. 😊 I already have the Trionfi in the paradoxical, which I like a lot, so this time I went for the original. I got excited when I saw an ogham deck (maybe?) but it's weird for me to think of an oracle being half ogham and half other things so not sure about that.

I am in the same boat with the deviant moon trionfi Della Luna. I too will have to swallow the horrible shipping price to Canada plus exchange rate. I am such a sucker for his limited editions - sigh....& Alternate cards. But if I do this I will just do the original & not buy other colorations, like I did with the first deck, many of which I regret.

I've got to lead with a thank you. You helped me a lot with what you said about the Enneagram Oracle. I just needed to hear someone else say it so I could let it go for myself. I'm very interested in the Enneagram, and I'd love an oracle deck based on it - or that aligned with it, but this doesn't seem to be it, at least not for me. Also-----Lisa made me do it. I had been hemming and hawing about the Trionfi deck. and I finally pulled the trigger last night thanks to you. ^^ I also got his new facsimile deck of a Milanese tarot (to combine shipping, of course). It's the Edorado Dotti of 1885. It's a facsimile, but the images are very clear, and I love the soft colors of the northern Italian decks. End of ramble......

"Spoiler free" is a hard NO for me. I need to see all the cards before I buy a tarot deck, espacially an expensive indie deck. If only one card triggers me, I won't be able to work with the whole deck. For oracle it might be okay, since you could take cards out, but you can't do that with a tarot deck. That's my "hot take" 😅

I also thought of the angels and ancestors deck with the GGG Oracle but I liked this one better because the AAA deck seemed almost exploitative of indigenous stereotypes and I’m not into angel energy. Exploitative may not be the right word but I didn’t have good feelings about it.

I purchased the Arboridium Oracle deck. The artwork is absolutely beautiful! I bought it because I want to rekindle my inner child. I appreciate the guide book using fully color pictures, but...I’m very disappointed by the story and messages (at this time as I’m getting to know the cards). It just feels very...forced. Hard to explain. The story for each card is long and does help me remember the card, but the oracle message is tiny and doesn’t always fit the long story. I do enjoy just gazing at the images, but the messages escape me.

So I’m going to come out and say that I loved Patrick Valenza…until this marketing campaign came out. The fact that he’s not showing the art -or even just a preview-feels fishy to me. He always shows progress of his decks and is still showing progress of his future projects, but not this one?? Why?? To create excitement?! When has there ever NOT been excitement over his decks. Even if it’s not his intention, it feels like he’s capitalizing on his loyal fan base. It feels really gross and consumerism at its worst.
