UPD Cold Air Intake Kit - installed on 2015 Mercedes E63 S AMG 4MATIC

a very short video of the completed installation of a UPD Cold Air Intake kit which includes the red aluminum spaces, Green Filters and longer screws and barrel spacers for the airbox cover which is about 1" extended higher due to the aluminum spacer which elevates the air filter and provides much better air flow when combined with the better flowing air filter
UPD dyno test shows 23-25 WHP gains. I am stock and this is a very nice, relatively inexpensive mod to gain some noticeable performance....first thing i noticed (subjective feedback here) after installing is slightly better throttle response in C, S and S+ modes and when in S+, traction off and 1st gear i am getting slightly harder launch with a touch of wheel spin which never happened before..pretty cool. And the customer service from Shardul at UPD is exceptional.

Can you comment on whether or not the exhaust note has improved (a little louder than stock). When I installed an intake on my other car (Lexus GS430) there was a noticeable improvement in the exhaust note.

didnt notice any change to the exhaust note. i havent dyno'd after installing the intake but i do feel a slight power increase and am getting more frequent rear wheel spin (its a e63 4matic / AWD car) which i never experienced before installing the intake set up.

Just bought these hope it works but for $130 I can't complain if nothing happens. Got dps tune res delete and colder plugs so far

no issues at all. all this kit provides is a spacer to the OEM filter housing which just plugs back into the turbo intake tubes. there are other intake kits for M157 motors from Blackboost that supposedly provide 30-40HP gains but come with totally different intake housing hardware and intake tubes which are trickier to install but have gotten very good feedback. this kit is fine, but its 4 years old now and there are better options if youre looking for more air intake on a m157 motor... check out blackboost US

did you end up getting the car up on the dyno? UPD does claim 25-35hp gains, but I want to see real-world numbers compared to a company's claims lol before I buy it.

i have nothing against this product but my dyno with UPD intake compared to another 2015 E63S without it showed about 8-10 HP benefit that was all in my case. maybe others see more benefit....

Have you put it on the dyno yet or tested 0-60 or quarter mile time?

tredeuce2 no Dyno or quarter mile times yet. My dash command app has a 0-60 function and best I’ve done is 3.42 vs stock is 3.5 so not huge

took about 30 mins to install. very easy. just dont drop the spacers in the engine bay which i did and took 15 mins to fish them out :)

best inexpensive mod for W212 / E63. UPD reports 23-25 WHP gains and while i have not dyno'd the car, i can tell you that i feel better throttle response and pull, plus am getting wheel spin in 1st gear which i never had on this being AWD stock. get one ask Shardul to hook you up. its 30 mins to install.
