I live in Canada.I’m 55 and I am so glad I discovered your channel. I could listen to you talk all day about fashion. You GO !!! It’s so nice to know that fashion is still a concern and how people present themselves and how fashion makes them feel is important. Perhaps I am commenting on the wrong video about FAKE merch. I know nothing about that, but I just wanted to let you know that whatever you are presenting?? I am here for. Much love from Canada xoxo.

I bought a 3.5k Bottega bag. Fake. Honestly it is a fantastic dupe and I didnt even think to authenticate it until the news reported it on. The store is absolutely gorgeous on one of the nicest and most high neighborhoods in Sydney. It’s absolutely batshit that they’ve done this for so long, and even continue to do it. It’s still occurring because Australia relies on Fair Trading and they’ve been absolutely useless. They’re literally working with Cosette, not with the consumers.

Yeah they were smart to rent a place in the Rocks, it did go along with their image of selling real luxury goods

I had a friend purchase from Cosette and it was a fake. She took her bag in and it was taken away and she was given a receipt confirming her bag had been taken by Cosette. She was told that the bag would get authenticated but would take a really long time with no timeframes. They also alleged that they have since purchased auth bags from the store to authenticate themselves and most times times it came back as fake. They claimed that they buy their bags through authorised channels and have certain paperwork they can use to prove it is real but cannot share it with customers. It's been months and still no reply from Cosette. The store mainly has a line of people chasing up the status of their refunds or trying to get a refund. One lady in flew in from Melbourne to be told the same spiel. They don't allow casual shoppers in to browse whilst they are attending to someone to is trying to get a refund.

Allegedly & imo it’s not a good PR / marketing look for Cosette’s non appearance @ civil court/tribunal. TVM Super Dacob for shining a light on this issue. Best wishes from Adelaide; South Australia🇦🇺💐

Hi Dacob, love your vlogs. Watching from Switzerland. 😊 thank you so much for this info. I have been told that Chanel is putting in there bags now a chip for authentication. Do you know if this is true ?

I think it’s upto us to spread the word far and wide guys. This place is still open and people are still open to being tricked with a fake bag. Some people are unaware of the situation 😭😭😭😭

Scary. I don't know. I wonder if the fakes are so well made that the inspectors themselves don't know the difference. I mean, quality seems to be passing inspection these days to where the consumer ends up with high end bags not wearing very well within a very short period of time. Are they fakes or just really badly made for the money? Is fake getting mixed in with the authentic and no one knows the difference? Are they all made in the same place?

It seems that some of them are fake & some real- smarter to do it that way bc it prolongs detection & complicates/confuses investigation… may also be able to play up the “subjectivity” of authenticators…? I know the one lovely lady that made a video outlining her experience (& later was pressured/threatened legally by Cosette to take it down) & IIRC, she realized that the authenticity certificate was “real” but the Prada bag she bought only had a style/model number inside it, & that’s the code the certificate listed to ID the bag (soo… that means, [allegedly] Cosette could have just made copies of the SAME certificate & sent it w/ all the Prada’s in that style, theoretically… they could have all been fake besides the one that was authenticated). The bags didn’t have an individual, unique, serial number or item ID code given by Cosette that the authenticity cert. SHOULD have listed, if they REALLY corresponded to only one, unique, item. So In this case, the nylon Prada bag would (I assume) have had characteristics that made it an ideal choice to use their rouse on… AND the style/material may be easier to replicate? Regardless, they would (allegedly) send out, & pass-off, a “super fake” instead of a real bag; AND all of the bags of that style (allegedly/apparently) would have a copy of the same, identical, authenticity documents in their box… making it THAT much more nefarious & offensive. I’m assuming they would use their rouse on any type of bag they could figure out a way to make it work on, & the others may have actually been REAL bags that were overstock or seasonal…? The whole enterprise would definitely have required multiple tactics & manipulations in order to pull a switcheroo. This is atleast what I remember from the one Prada customer that successfully got a refund; but ticked Cosette off SO MUCH for making a YT vid & explaining what pieces she put together- this is the theory/details I generally described above- that Cosette sent her a cease and desist and threatened to sue her and a bunch of BS… so she was done w/ them… & at that point, had gotten the word & details out, so she just took it down. I think @superdacob reacted to it, as well. SO INSANE. They bragged abt their government certificate to sell tax free I think- or some certificate- multiple times in the @Melinmelbourne collab video, so I don’t know why the govt doesn’t just rip that RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER THEM. 🤬 WTF!? Ughhhh… 😑
@Skyebright1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think they’d have a certificate for one real bag and the others would be fake
