Thank you for sharing your brother's collection. I don't know why, but I find it so fascinating watching people comb through either their collection or collection they have inherited. I remember the film Diva very well. It was one of my favorites from the early '80s. I have the soundtrack but it's the French edition.
@retromusings Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. Great to know there are still Diva fans out there. I too have the European issue of the lp and the cover is very different from the US edition.

Record collecting is a real joy for so many , and discogs is a great way to catalog your collection. I have been picking up some records lately that used to be favourites of my late brother. Fun to play them, and brings back memories of him. Music can really do that. You sure have some great great listening ahead of you there! Fun video! Keep them coming. Brad.

Your first video came up on my feed and I really enjoyed it. I just finished cataloguing my collection on discogs (some 3000 records). Pretty arduous but you really get to connect with records you haven’t played in years. Good luck, and I hope your brother reconnects with his records someday. Cheers.

You have such an amazing knowledge of music and various artists that I was mildly surprised that you hadn't heard of Nazareth. I'd still bet that there aren't many artists on your "not familiar with" list. 🙂 I've enjoyed the few videos I've watched, and am glad I subscribed. I'll have to go back and re-watch the previous video of your brother's collection at some point.

It's a marketplace for record sellers and buyers. Buyers can catalogue all their records there.

Once you hear the Nazareth, you may recognize it, they had some popular songs. That 10cc Live is awesome one of my favorite live records.
@studydude Жыл бұрын
One last word, you mention Discogs is easy to catalog, i realize it can be easy to just enter a record, but at the same time, it can be time consuming to identify the exact "pressing" you have or at least my experience if you want precision.
@retromusings Жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more about Discogs. It will a monumental challenge listing the 800 lps I've taken hold of. I hope to get cracking on that in my spare time. And yes, 10cc are really great. I became a big fan of Godley and Creme (formerly with 10cc) in the 1980s. Love their hit "Cry".
