Update on Costco Thomasville Tisdale Sectional

Today I'm giving you an update on our Costco Thomasville Tisdale Sectional after having it for 6 weeks! I tried to answer all the questions I received in the comments on my original video where I assembled the sectional. Hope this helps!

It’s a nice sofa. The only issue I have with this sofa is the seating areas depth which makes sitting for extended periods of time uncomfortable. The most comfortable sectional I’ve seen Costco carry as of late is the Miles by Thomasville

I know this is from over a yr ago, just wondering how the sectional is holding up? Also, what colour is it? It’s listed as light grey but there are some reviews that are saying it’s beige. Thanks!

I think they changed the colors or the names of the colors since I got mine. The color I have was just called “Beige” back then and the “Gray” was a super dark gray.

Hey I watched all your videos on this couch. Now as I got it, I've an issue of it sliding it daily even with a simple leg touch push. We don't have it against the wall. How do you prevent it from slipping?

Hmm I haven’t had that issue. Ours is on carpet/rug so maybe that’s why. It probably moves a little bit over time, but not much. I’m sure you can get some grip sticker things on Amazon to put on the feet of the couch that would make it stay put easier. Hope that helps!

Do the parts of the sectional have clips or brackets to hold the pieces together?

Yes! I’d suggest watching my previous video about the sectional where I show putting it together and a close up of the brackets and how they connect.

You mentioned the cushions are not removable. Is there zippers in them (too/bottom) so you could rest if them if they get flat?

Nope, no zippers.

Our back cushions have zippers at the top and two clasps at the bottom.

Yes! It’s really durable which surprised me. I’ve responded to lots of comments already about the durability with my dogs (check to see because I don’t remember all I’ve already said). But it’s so easy to clean and the dogs constantly hop off/on the couch and haven’t torn it even a bit.

Does it hold dog Odors or is the fur imbedded? I’m worked about that mostly

I haven’t had an issue with either! I vacuum it like once a week to get the fur off. It doesn’t get embedded - comes right up. My dogs have short hair and they both shed a ton. They have brought some dirt inside a few times and I have just used a cloth and regular all purpose spray to clean it off and it’s been super easy - I was surprised!

I was about to buy it but noticed the website says a 38" wide door is required for delivery. Mine is 36". :( Did you check for that prior to purchasing it? Any issues at all? Thank you!

I didn’t check that. But I would suggest calling their customer service and asking them. It may be that the boxes it’s delivered in wouldn’t fit but the pieces may by themselves out of the boxes.

As far as seams coming undone - hasn’t happened to ours! It’s holding up great, even better than I hoped it would! I’d highly recommend it.

The back of the cushions where your back would sit up against have sagged a little bit but they are easy to fluff back up.

No, but you could scotch guard it yourself. I’ve gotten plenty of stains on it (including very gross pet stains 💩) and cleaning it has been so easy! Everything comes off nicely with some basic cleaning supplies.

Are the covers washable???

You can use household cleaners and a rag or an upholstery cleaner on it. I’ve had to scrub it clean due to pet accidents and it’s come clean super easily. See other comments I’ve responded to for more info

I have the Thomasville Tisdale Fabric Sectional with Storage Ottoman, Gray Item 1644987. My back cushions come off. They are zippered at the top and have two clasp at the bottom of each cushion. However full transparency we are returning the couch. We do not find it comfortable enough for lounging at long periods. You have to keep moving as the cushions are stiff. This is great for longevity and the couch always looking presently versus say a cloud couch. For us we want the cloud lounge ability with overall comfort for hours. Ha.

Only one of the sections has an “arm”. If you get two, won’t the arms both be right sided? 😮

@@shabbysheets No, the “arm” is an L shape corner piece and it comes with two that will work either way. ☺️ They are both identical.

Hi There! Thanks for the video, very useful! I have ordered the same sectional from Costco. My door size is 36 inches and the instructions say the door should be 38 inches. Would you mind sharing the height of the sectional with feet, I would think 1 inch for the feet that won’t be attached on delivery. Thanks a lot!!

I think there are some other comments that I addressed this question either on this video or my other video about this sectional. I think the boxes may not fit through the door, but the delivery crew should be unboxing them outside and bringing the couch pieces in by themselves.
