In this interview, Tony Desmet, Director of Hypersonics and Strike Weapons at Lockheed Martin, shares the latest developments with the LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile) and Hypersonic Air-Launched Offensive (HALO) Anti-Surface Warfare weapon programs. LRASM and HALO are next generation air-launched anti-ship missiles for the US Navy.

LRASM Program:
Lockheed Martin has recently conducted Integrated Test Event 12 for the LRASM weapon in partnership with the Navy.
LRASM’s high-end lethality and survivability was successfully demonstrated
Lockheed Martin and the US Navy continue to work on integrating LRASM aboard various platforms, including the P-8 and F-35 (B and C variants).
International interest in LRASM, with Australia being the first non-U.S. user.
HALO Program:
Lockheed Martin is one of the two competitors selected by NAVAIR for the HALO program.
The company is investing to make HALO available to the Navy as early as possible.
Schedule is critical, and Lockheed Martin aims to continue the partnership for anti-surface capability.
