@@josephdefreitas56 Pan’s reply was “I always have one towel for the first leveling, and I follow up with a second clean and dry towel for the final buff. You will need a few towels of each to do an entire car. Working with fresh sides of the towel is key.” He has a video “How to apply ceramic coating..” where he recommends Pearl towels from the Rag Company. Speaking of the rag company their video “How many towels to do a ceramic coating install?” Is good. They recommend Pearl for initial wipe and Eagle for the buff, 6 to 8 of each for a car, and changing every 3 panels.

Im not gonna lie, I'm a bit worried about the future of this channel. You've been my favorite car detailing channel for a while now. I think it's very unlikely that at least on some level you won't be at least a bit biased going forward. That being said, even if that is the case, all good things must come to an end. Im excited to try your products, even if this channel suffers from this(which may not happen) I wish you the best and look farward to trying your products.

As someone who learned a few things from the channel, outside of the odd bias, it’s disappointing that you’re awarding your own products. I can’t see where that would be a good idea in any other situation other than strictly for $$$$. And if there’s no experience other than yours, it’s hard to believe all the “R&D” you’ve done isn’t just copying other products or straight up throwing your own label on already existing products and claiming them the best. Chemicals don’t change and unless you spent millions on creating new compositions, this is strictly a marketing thing. Hopefully this doesn’t ruin your entire business but you may want to look at the future.

The main concern is bias. I’m sure the products are great, but this was a review channel. Now it’s a “this is how to use my products channel” like DIY Detail. Nothing wrong with that, but IMO just be transparent about it.

This is certainly true. By definition, you cannot take anybodies word for it if they say their own product is the best in the world. But to be honest, i think Pan would be the first to agree. Let's wait until the product makes it into the hands of other reviewers and see what they say. I absolutely tend to believe Pan and i've learnt so much being here, but before i place an order i need a second opinion. Also, for future product reviews, Pan needs to make a descision on how to approach those, and honestly if this is gonna keep being a review channel, any review that has his own product in it can't really be taken seriously.

Thrilled you were able to make some of your own products, and excited to try them out once THOR gets their backlog shipped out. I have one piece of feedback, and this doesn’t effect my opinion of you, your channel, or your products by any means, but if I was in your shoes I might have taken your 2024 awards a bit differently. Personally I think it would have been more productive to talk about your products within each category but maybe left them outside the ratings. Something like, “I made my products to be the absolute best, and I challenge you to try them against these top three products outside of my own.” Of course you were going to be met with resistance regardless of how you handled that, purely because of size and reputation of your brand/channel. Like I said no hate by any means, I happy for what you are doing and wish you luck on the new venture!

Let's imagine Kranzle have a pressure washer awards show, should they not rate their own washers #1 for detailing. Even though they are #1 for detailing. I guess only time will tell. However, if Pan truly did use his previous #1 picks as the baseline and strived to produce better, should we be surprised that he may have succeeded? People could always pick #3 if they don't believe Clean & Detail Co. deserve the position they have received in his awards. It could be argued that instead of including his own products. Pan could have proceeded to do the awards and then, at the end, take a few minutes out to tell people that he personally he believes his products should have received #1. The reason that he didn't include them is because of optics. I guess that possibly would have been a better way to do it.

I recommend you could put on different hats and have different roles on your youtube channel as you said you have different business as auto care product reviewer + diy youtuber and a Clean brand producer now. Don’t put too much “plug-in” for your own brand or it will get back fired. Could you put a separate title “CLEAN” when your videos are selling your product lines? So people would know what role you are playing in that video. I understand you would be spending more time on your own investment and hope you will do all brand reviews again soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It would be too much for me to start a second channel, I’m a one man operation and already operating one channel takes the majority of my time. But I am not worried. I will figure a way to make things work.

Make a video on stripping our current coating and replacing it with CLEAN :)

Why would I do that? If a coating performs well, you should machine polish the car for no reason just to add another coating. If I was to release another coating next year, would you tell me to strip that one off and apply the new one again? We are trying to preserve clear coat, as we always preach. I already stripped my girlfriend's SUV because the coating from another brand started to fail, so that was a no brainer to apply my own coating (video coming soon). Plus I can continue giving my viewers updates on the performance of the one on my Porsche, and comparing the performance between both coatings. As soon as I see signs of weekness though, I'm going straight for my 8-year coating.

@@PanTheOrganizer mine is weak and needs to be replaced. It is a 5yr coating and has been on the car for 3. (Beading isn't nearly as good as it use to be. It isn't "dead" but it is under performing and I'm thinking it is time for an upgrade.

You are really inspiring Pan, but as you said, make sure you take care of yourself first, take a couple days off from responding to comments or dedicate work, we would all understand for sure. As for products I would like to see in the future, definitely a wheel and tire cleaner (that does both at the same time), maybe a bug cleaner or an APC, stain and upholstery cleaner could be nice too, glass cleaner, touchless shampoo, iron remover of course, interior cleaner for people who don’t like rinseless for interior, and maybe some great air fresheners. Products I’m sure you have thought about and are probably in the R&D stage. As always keep up the great work!

Pre-orders were for Canada as they will have deliveries early October. In the US, orders started shipping last week. And we’re expecting restock this week so all the pending orders can be fulfilled. What a crazy week it was. My chemists went all week without a day off, working 12-16 hr days just to prep new batches of everything. But hopefully now we can have even more stock.

Him releasing his own product line and signing with a specific distributor eliminates any objectivity/impartiality that he had in his prior reviews. That being said, I am excited to see what he does with this product line and look forward to more content showcasing his product...

I was able to watch the entire Products Awards video. However good your products are (and I tend to believe that), I think you misjudged the detailing community's reaction. I think it would have been better to exclude your products (and Detail Co's) for now, and do a separate video where you compare your product with the winner of each category. Also, people know about your business affiliation with THOR, so your products first and theirs second ? As that may very well be the case, people will rather see the bussiness deal behind that. And a few medals for your friend Yvan's DIY Detail (I expected more)... Now I know from my own experience that DIY Detail is top notch. I owe you Pan, because you got me into detailing. I follow only two detailing channels : yours and DIY Detail. I was in the proces of switching everything tot DIY Detail, and there you are with Clean ! For the moment, DIY Detail works excellent for me, but when I have to restock, I might give Clean a try. In the mean time, don't let the hate get to you. You will figure out a way to overcome this, that I'm sure of.

Oh and also I’ve been thinking about this product idea and wanted to share it with you. No need to reply unless you have any thoughts-just throwing the idea out there! I’m looking for a truly authentic new car scent that’s non-toxic, unlike the actual new car smell that comes from gases and chemicals. The goal would be to capture the smell of plastic, leather, glue, and fresh carpet in a safe way. For reference, Chemical Guys have a decent new car scent, and in my opinion, it’s probably the closest one out there. They also has a really good leather scent. But overall, I haven’t come across any spray or scent that truly matches a real new car smell while being safe. Hopefully, there’s a way to make it happen!

Thanks man! It’s a personal thing when it comes to PPF. I am just not a fan of the look or feel or PPF. Plus, as I get a brand new car every three years, and do low yearly mileage, scratches and stone chips are of no concern to me. My cars are always pristine when I bring them back to the dealership. But for people who keep their cars for many years, and want the ultimate scratch and rock chip protection, PPF is the only solution. I would still recommend a ceramic coating on top of the PPF, for the best of both worlds.

Thank you!! It's like you read my mind! We booked tickets to TeamLab in Tokyo after my friend Rick, from the RAD Garage channel, told me I had to go there. He lived in Japan as a teacher for many years and loves the country. For the panel prep spray, using mine is much better, as mine has isopropyl alcohol for evaporation, but perhaps more importantly also has solvents and surfactants that help to actually pull oils and residue out the valleys of the clear coat, ensure a proper wipe down and residue removal before coating. Isopropyl alcohol alone in a bottle can't do that. So for best experience, use the panel prep spray of the coating brand you are buying to be safe. The House Of Rags is working hard on shipments, so it shouldn't be much longer, the week was insane with selling out so fast haha. Pan Can I apply this over Gyeon Skin? I ask cause I just did a full prep on my F350 2 weeks ago and used Gyeon MOHS and SKIN from there EVO line (used cause of your reaction as well as a few other big testers) which I as of right now hands down consider it my favorite ceramic with insane beading and gloss. Im Curious to try yours which is why I want to see if I can add yours as a Topper on top of the Gyeon skin

No. Coatings should always be applied to a clean, decontaminated and virgin clear coat, free from any previous protection that will interfere with the coating bonding to the clear coat directly. Hence why you see all of us always polishing and panel prepping before applying the coating, to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection. But you could use my CLEAN Ceramic Spray Sealant for sure on top of Skin. :)

Hi Pan - I would be highly interested in a drying aid that leaves almost no protection, instead lubricates while towel drying without leaving streaks. Would you be interested in creating a product like that? Or would you have any suggestions for a product that already exists?

You can use my CLEAN Rinse-Less wash diluted 256:1 as a drying aid for that purpose.

I’m in the northeast so my window to do a final clean is getting shorter so I need these products to restock. I’m mostly interested in the ceramic spray. Are you planning on doing a quick detailer spray to go with the ceramic spray?

Hello Pan, thanks for all these really good video's and products. Concerning the comming polising pads should it be possible to put the type of pad on the back of it besides the logo's. For ex. finishing pad, cutting pad,... I think that a lot of persons do not use these pads every week but maybe once a year and than it's hard to remember which kind of pad it is when its not in the package anymore ? Concerning new products it should be great that those good chemist find somenthing against bugs sticking on the paint. It's allways a knightmare when I washt the car and then have to drive off to the highway and see all those bugs killing them on the car and stick with all there acids on my paint😩

Good luck with your new endeavor! I would be interested in a review covering the least aggressive methods for removing failing coatings, either chemical (Fireball Wax Off, Angelwax Perfect Polish, Bola Solution P35, Kamikazee No. 5, ...) or the very least aggressive polishes that will do the job. Many people have previously corrected paint that they have kept in good shape and want to preserve clear coat as much as possible. Your Clean line has no competing products so you can avoid conflict of interest concerns.

This may have been asked before but I’ve been using chemical guys butter wet wax on my Honda based on one of your earlier tests. I do like the product but occasionally my applicator will graze the black plastic trim leaving a smudge of wax there that ends up going white after even if I try wiping it off right after it’s applied. Is there a product that will remove this from the plastic trim without damaging the trim. I tried chemical guys Trim clean wax remover but it didn’t seem to remove any of the wax. Also when this bottle of wet wax is finished I plan to buy from your line up what is the closest equivalent in your clean line up? Thanks

Sadly for me here in Malaysia, it's too expensive (exchange rate and the mad Malaysian Customs import duty + tax rates). Plus I am still holding out from buying any ceramic coatings as I do motorcycle / scooters / helmets, 30 mils is too much and might go bad, plus here in Malaysia, paying USD 150 for superbike thorough detailing (including removing body panels and wash + decon + scrub the crankcase + apply ceramic based spray for some protection, removing CF bits and cleaning + polish + applying Q2 wax), the locals here find that to be too expensive.

I do feel most are white labeled but as I said in the last video, I believe you would go to the trouble and cost to have your blends. Youve reviewed so much it's impossible not to gather the i dont want that, i want this. I added some of your products to my list this week. So as I get low on products I will place an order. I ALWAYS test products on the dealership cars. I feel they are the best place to test. Maybe by then all the kinks will be worked out. Dont let anyone tell you not to address the idiots. I’m wondering about the effects hard water has on products? My water is very hard at 512. After a five hour detail and adding turtle wax ceramic spray which is supposed to last around 6 months I only made it about 3 months till it was not beading water and back to sheeting. I know you have a DI system but I’d love to see some videos on how people who have such hard water deal with the issues it causes? Or if you’re going to have products that can help with this issue? I have a small DI tank but with water this hard I only get about 8 rinses and wonder when using the hard water for everything but the rinse does it break down product quality or endurance? Thanks!

Congratulations on the release. I would. For ceramic coatings, you need to get your price point in the 79.99-99.99 USD. Also, stick to a solid 2-4 year coating at 89.99. I don't like anyone advertising 5+ years. Unless you plan on garaging this car that entire time, 5 years is completely unrealistic.

Hey Pan, For those of us in colder climates without access to a garage or a place to wash our cars, I was wondering how much pH is typically in those touchless car washes? I use them occasionally during the really cold months to get the road salt off when I can’t wash my car. Will using them affect your coating, whether it’s the 3-year or 8-year version?
