I've had the alternator now for some time. But it is a newer one. I did have to replace it some time back.

Just a suggestion if you want to stop those oil.leaks from gaskets every oil change use Lucas oil stabilizer a gallon leaks will stop

I wanna put a 13 speed in my 84 cabover but I dont no what one to put in it every body says u have to run a RTOF14613 cuz its a forward mount. How did u get that 18speed to work in ur cabover .do I jist take the top of my transmission and put on a 13speed transmission of do I have to run a Model trans that is forwarded mount

You can adapt a newer transmission to your truck. Not sure what you mean on Forward mount.

Not much. Just have to align it right, and a good drill bit for making the holes as needed

I have a 1994 9700 and the transmission shifter linkage is all screwed up don't know anybody that can fix it, can't find parts either.😕

13 to 18 speed....how many rpms did it drop.......better mpgs..with 18speed. .

With the 18 speed now i run 70 mph 1800 rpm. I'm still in the process of getting mpg. I'll let you know when i get it. Just want to make sure.

I'm getting 6.25 mpg at this moment. Once I go with the 3.59 rear ends, I'm hoping it with still give me better mpg.

You could’ve got a 13spd with same .73 overdrive. That’s y your truck is faster. Your old one had an overdrive of .87 now the .87 is you (17th) gear..!!

I was going for an 18 speed instead of a 13. There was calculations made before doing my purchase. With this transmission I'm right where i wanted to be with rpm's. I also have other differentials that will be installed, so that was also calculated.

@@lifeintrucking.eduardomorales I wasn’t knocking ya, most folks don’t know that the ratios are the exact same with 13 & 18 spd trans, only difference is you can split the bottom gears..! Truck is coming along nicely... I’m glad I found you again, you’re one the only dudes like me that works on his own stuff...!!

@@scottreed5460 I never took it that way.Thats the reason I went with the 18 for the low splits. And the ratios, I hit them right on. Glad your on here!
