Yeah this guys fool of crap you cant have 60% profit margin with 18 fucking employees at 75k topline unless he literally has slave labor. Lets say each one of his employees makes on average 3k a month. 3k times 18 is 54k. So with that being said hes claiming he pays his in employees more than 3k a month. THE MATH DOES NOT ADD UP. I started detailing in 2008 I was 22 I used customers water and power I provided everything else. I did that for a few years. Now I just detail out of my garage and do drop offs. I work alone as I help my bro do real estate I detail on the side now from being full time. I started out of the house as a newbie, anyone can do it, but you can’t be lazy

@@fightsandfinance7570 There is a lot of work, when the quality and customer service matching your brand and expectations of your customers. l leveraged dealer friends and had family at the time who worked in offices. so I cleaned their cars at the office as a start up. Now that we have a house garage I stopped mobile and only do it at my house part time, not full time. You don't want to live your life detailing and have no time freedom to do what you want to do. The best way is having people work for you and have hardly over head cost. So more time for you to focus on bigger important tasks or family time. Real estate is the game changer.

@@Oakcitymedia I love your answer brotha. Honestly all for my parents. Lol. I'm currently doing Doordash in LA and make about 220 a day, I was thinking if I get into the detailing business or pressure washing business I guess since they both use a pressure washer I may be able to do both? I would hope to make at least double the money of Doordash and have work everyday whether it would just be me doing car detailing, pressure washing, or both, or even carpet cleaning.. Looking to do about 3 jobs a day. I currently do doordash from like 7am to 10pm and was thinking I start one of these businesses. What you think? Lol

@@fightsandfinance7570 Thanks brotha! I moved out of L.A. in the 818 SFV at 20 years old, honestly I don't think I could had made it as far as I have if I hadn't moved out of the state when everything was cheaper in the east coast. Gotta do what you love chase your passion money will follow.... Find what you love to do, and how you can serve and make a difference in the world. I got into detailing during high school. I would look into drive way/porch cleaning as I do that for spring. But to spend little and get more ROI back carpet cleaning. I used my carpet shampoo machine and it paid for it self and much more. I get referred from a house cleaning company, that's where I get clients. Just really have to put in the work and be WILLING to sacrifice and give up things for what truly matters to you and your future stability. Detailing is much more learning curve, Pressure washing small things like porches/patios or carpet cleaning can catch on, and you can mix the two. It's a bit less taxing on your body as well and not long hours like detailing. Just need a truck, or a hitch and small trailer to haul things.

Your numbers aren't adding up. If your margins are 60%, that means 18 employees AND all overhead expenses shared the remaining 40% (30k). If you had no expenses and split that 30k between employees, That's less than 1700 each for an entire month. But you do have expenses such as vehicle maintenance, fuel, cleaning supplies etc. So either you pay your employees peanuts or your margins are more like 20%. OR you don't have nearly as many employees as you say and the 75k revenue number for that month is an outright lie.

He's such a big entrepreneurial-oriented person. I like his mindset and how he manages his business. Way to go to him. This video was spectacular and super insightful. Definitely one of the best you've ever put out. I think I just had a pretty solid idea on how he could improve his business. He said he updates his clients pretty frequently by calling them. Why not just make an app that shows where their cars are at, if they're being washed, how much longer they should wait till they get their cars back and all that. What do you guys think about it? It would be way may more efficient, much more user-friendly and less time-consuming. He should also start a KZbin channel as well. It would be such a money maker for sure. Something else I've been thinking about is how you guys can improve this channel and make a little bit more money with it. Have you ever considered the idea of making a course on how to start from the ground up, how to start any business, not just a specific one. Me being 19 years old and still not going to college doesn't help me a lot. I would love to start a business of mine but I know for a fact I would be better off working on site and then kind of grow from there. Any tips on how to get started? I have ideas, but I'm afraid to implement them. With that being said, have a nice day guys and keep this channel on fire, because it has helped me shift my mindset so much.

Woah there, young skipper. $75k per month (on the high end, so not a conservative estimate) - 60% profit = $30k for materials, equipment and labor, including $3.5k for marketing. Is the commission not included in the total? Something is not right using the numbers you gave for paying your people ($1500-2500 every two weeks from commission and tips, no hourly). $30k split between 18 people is less than $2k PER MONTH.... So either your people must be racking in the tips, you don't really know or didn't say the true numbers, or your business is hemorrhaging money...

very organized, very reputable business model overall. i am impressed,. However, IMO hiring detailers as independent contractors with no insurance or benefits to do a detail and receive a 30% commisiion is basically undermining the potential of and individual detailers wealth. considering im an owner operator, and charge essentially the same price, i make three times more that these commisioned detailers, and im not in a rush to get cars in and out either. i can spend a lot more time giving my clients thourough and meticulous results imstead of trying to rush through 3 vehicles a day to make $300 at a 30% commission rate. i agree about the googlr my business route is perfect for detailers

This has always been my argument to other detailers. Although, I would love to see a mobile detailing company scale nationwide. I don’t think it is doable. that is exactly why I started detailing on my own. I can make 3 times as much working for myself while doing the same job as working for somebody else. detailing is hard work. especially hard to do a standout job very quickly. that's why a lot of detail shops put out sub par work. all their employees work super hard and are always under the gun on time. I can spend a lot more time on my customers details and put out an amazing product and make great money. The hardest part is stability.

$75,000 x 60% is $45000. So $35000 covers 18 employees, trucks, chemicals, advertising, insurance, rent. Etc. To put that into perspective, 18 people making just $3000/mo is $54000. So either everyone's making $1000/mo, or profits are closer to 10%

This only applies to countries like U.S since water is there cheaper than in most parts of europe etc. Also the supply and accomodation for washing the cars in there costs here minimum 1.5k monthly. So idk whats this 500 starters money about but for U.S its cool. For us here we need more professional business plan where everything is expensive and super high taxes.

60% profit margin? Can you help me understand this? 30% commission. How is your business able to grow and maintain off 10%? Also, how are people happy working for 30%? Before I started my company I was managing a friends company. He gave me 50% and our prices were comparable at an average of 90$/hr shop rate reference. I was making about 30/hr at end of day. 2-3 cars a day. And I was overworking myself to obtain that 30/hr. My question is how do you spin this?

I love this guy's business approach and acumen but I have some serious issues with his detailing methods. You NEED the soaps and chemicals as lubricants when you wash. He is also using quick clay bar which shouldn't be used often and although it leaves a glass like finish it is a micro abrasive that overtime and with overuse, it will just leave more imperfections. Also, the de ionized water alone should have fixed the water spotting problems. This is a great business model but the claim of being 40% faster than the competition is not impressive after finding out the process.
