I loved everything about this builder video. It blows my mind how the axel wasn’t welded in a jig or using a measured form as were cuts made with a powered hand grinder/cut wheel without regard to being plumb. Yet, they were! You are incredible, just fantastic. I noticed the gearbox wasn’t accommodated with a carriage or with a modular frame, welding the entire unit to the frame - but it works until it has to be replaced.

this is a very common vehicle in almost every asian country in the countryside, each country has their own names but they're practically the same, although most of them uses a diesel tractor engine with a crank rather than a gasoline powered GX engine.

This is a very cool build. I love how it eliminates steering, plus it would be fairly simple to add another engine to the rear axle to make it a 4x4, and if the center swiveled nicely it could make for some nice articulation. (Also I am very pleased to see that I am not the only person that say “f-it” and welds through the paint...lol)

Next, remove the governor. It wont blow the engine since the torque converter will limit its revs around 5300 rpm. And the valve springs begin to float around 5500 rpms

When attaching the locking clip on a drive chain the open end of the clip should always face the opposite direction of the rotation of the chain.

@@sierrakilo1174 If the chain is rotating and just by chance something come into contact with the chain at that clip it can push the clip off if the open end is facing the same direction as the rotation of the chain. Clip gone your chain is going to go flying off and may cause injury..

This is brilliant! Makes me want to learn how to weld. I'd have a double U articulated joint to allow lateral movement. You have allowed for movement in 2 directions but not the axis in line with the vehicle.

under the gas tank there is a separate spring for the governor, put a zip tie through it , then tip tie the spring were it doesn't spread out, and BOOM governor bypass. but dont blow your engine :)

Nice build Now upgrade it further add the following 1. Steering well ,replace the steering handle bars 2 a silencer to lower the engine noise 3 a button to start the engine instead of the rope 4 short absorbers for the wheels 5. breaking system (preferably to stop the rear wheels)

You could add couple of cat eyes on the back if you are going to drive it at night. Mud protector with curtains would be nice also. Handbrake could be usefull.

it's basically the simplest form of torque converter. as it spins faster, the "wheels " are forced closer, causing friction to the belt.

I think a geared transmission would be better for something intended for agricultural use, that way you can get high r.p.m's on the engine in lower gears resulting in high torque output, great for climbing hills with heavy loads.
