You have done such a fantastic job. Have you ever thought of going in to surgery. Such clean joints. I always think that some tradesmen, but for their upbringing would be top surgeons. Great job. Mesmerizing.

This is one of my favorite videos from you! I never thought about using latex on the back of the carpet for the W cut. I’ve always struggled with this and it turns out to get messy sometimes with cheap action back. I also really like that you just cut the W with the scissors and not even try it with a knife. I think that helps as well keep that backing in tack. I hope you share this video all over social media and the Internet. This would be a great one for CFI to also share with upcoming attendees for Carpet certification! Love your passion dude! Keep it up

Truly phenomenal work..thats a $100 stair..the only problem is no store will pay you to take this kinda time on an entire set of steps..this would be atleast 2 days work for a complete staircase done this way..$10 a stair would be max a store will pay around me..most wouldn't even pay that..nice job rueben 👍

The store here pays me $125 per step for such work, I definitely understand that most stores won’t but we as installers need to start opening up their eyes and show them that a quality carpet install is worth more

125 a step? Holy Christ that’s what I get for an entire flight

First few years that's the way we did them . Especially in builders homes . Then one day we were told to French cap and that was that .

Yeah most of the time it is like that, to be honest with you I’ve just recently started given the client the option

For anyone watching this and thinking he should’ve done a cap in band or Hollywood step this is how you make your stairs look like a custom piece of furniture. You wanna get paid $1000 to do as set of steps? Learn this!
@kcm731k2 жыл бұрын
The only way your gonna get $1000 for a set of stairs is working directly for a well off customer..no store will pay you to take this kinda time on a set of stairs..not knocking rueben at all its beautiful but not practical to be that anal for daily work

Fred Chastain came up with the "true cut" method. It's a shame no one mentions him.

Maybe it’s Time to rename?! @ Nate Hall there is a lot of history in Floor Covering Installer and I kind of geek out on it! I remember joining CFI 10 years ago and then googling all the master II installers. The Internet has lots of information but not a lot of stuff on Floor Covering installation that’s correct
