Thanks! I have a few more mods, so I need to do a follow up video soon.

You sure do lots of work on your camper. We had a 2008 Lance 992. I was planning on upgrading to lithium batteries and an upgraded converter but instead I ordered a 2022 Lance 1172 truck camper traded our old Lance camper in on it. We ordered the options the way we wanted. Dual lithium batteries dual solar panels plus we already have a portable one. LP generator on board. 4 season and has the new European acrylic windows. I’ve purchased the NRVTA on line RV course to help diagnose and repair any problems I may have. A warranty doesn’t help you when you’re hundreds of miles from a dealer. We love our he versatility of a truck camper compared to trailers and other classes of RVs as we prefer boondocking. Our camper sits on a 2008 GMC 3500 diesel dually 4x4. I put a set of airbags on it to help carry the weight. Our 1172 weighs 5000lbs without water in the tank. Great video always something to learn as a camper newbie. 👍🇨🇦

I have the same generation of truck. We both need new trucks due to being severely over the GVWR of our trucks.

Really fantastic videos, thank you for taking the time to put this together. You are very thorough. My wife and I live full time in an 865.

Glad it was helpful! The 865 was on my list for a long time, but I eventually decided I wanted an onboard generator. I already had a long bed truck, so it made sense to go with a 992.

@@deltabravo1257 great mods, how can I get in touch with you. I have several questions regarding your 811 transition to AF 992

Glad you enjoyed it! I love my 992. I upgrade to the 992 from an AF811 that I had for a little over 10 years.

Thanks for putting this together. I've done a number of these as well, but sometimes get lost in all the videos and mods and don't know what to tackle next as one mod might affect another. Lots going on with life, work etc. Makes doing anything camper related get put on the back burner.

Glad you enjoyed it! I think I'm done doing major mods for a while. I took the camper out again this past weekend for two nights and everything performed flawlessly.

You have some fabulous videos and I highly appreciate it I just bought a 2016-992, I wanted to ask you about your fan replacement at minute 21 of this video after I got the camper home and plugged it into the electric outlet and turned on the heater all the vents were blowing out hot air except the one under the bedroom step it was blowing ice cold air directly out at my ankles. that just doesn’t seem right I was hoping to get your opinion on that thanks in advance.
@deltabravo12572 жыл бұрын
The vent under the bedroom step isn't a heat vent. There's a fan in that vent which blows air into the step area, which connects to the "basement" area of the camper where the water tank are located. The purpose of that is to circulate warm air into the basement area to keep the tanks somewhat warm when camping in cold weather. If that vent in your camper is blowing air OUT at you, then Northwood installed the fan backwards. It should blow fan IN the step.

do you have a list of components you used to install the Battleborn batteries and the placement of those - like the converter?
@deltabravo12573 жыл бұрын
I don't have a list of components used. I purchased some battery cable and terminal lugs for the cables, a post to connect all the negative cables to and also A Victron BMV-712. More details on the Battleborn install here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mn-2h5euZrVkrpI I unplugged the converter and disabled it. My charging system is a Victron Multiplus 2000 inverter/charger, shown in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJDFqKuAga1rnpo
