Congratulations on the new vehicle. As a mobile detailer with a 12ft double axle trailer. I typically use my 98 chevy 1500. But if or when it needs work, i swap out and use my Expedition. I like that flexibility to swap out vs having a van. I recommend you getting a 2nd vehicle both capable of towing your trailer. That way you're never down. I completely understand wanting to look top notch and presentable to the clients.

@topstardetailing my truck tows 7k and SUV towa 8k. My trailer can carry 7k And weighs roughly 1,500 when empty. With all my gear plus trailer weight I'm pulling around 4,200lbs. My water tank when full is 2,200lbs (275 gallons). It is a pretty big rig, I haven't had to tell any clients no as of yet. And I don't do many apartment complexes. I've thought about getting a smaller trailer and water tank, but I really don't want to have to build another set up. It's taken a while to do the one I got and I'm still working on it to make more fictional. But overall I'm pleased with the set up. And mine is an open trailer not closed in so I've had to do a lot of things to make sure my stuff is secure. My main concern was sun damage to my equipment so that was first priority. I need to do a trailer video so other ppl can see. I mean I've been AMAZED at the mobile detailing engineering that I've seen from ppl. It just goes to show you can do this job without all the fancy stuff. But just some simple DIY engineering...lol .
