The build has begun! My twin-cam 88 Cubic Inch motor has been removed from my 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King and it's about to get replaced with some performance upgrades from Zipper's Performance Products. Leonard's 2011 Harley-Davidson Street Glide 103 gets more power with some Zipper's Performance Product upgrades. Just got done tuning the carb on my '93 evo. It's not going to keep up with the big dogs, but it runs strong. Plenty of power and 44 mpg on the highway. Running an Andrews ev27 cam, Cobra true dual exhaust, S&S air cleaner, single fire ignition and a 34 tooth transmission pully. It's an awesome prairie pounder.

I was never happy with the 88 twin cam bikes I had. I love my M8 motors. If I could go back I would have sent my engine to Zippers. Great channel. Go bigger Tall it's only money.

I was riding my bike yesterday and have to say I really enjoy riding this bike. It's alot more exciting, and it might be my favorite now.

You would be disappointed to know that even an old 88 has more power stock on a 4th gear dyno pull than a 114. And its not smogged up and its lighter

Yea the twins do sound better but it’s like the EVOS might be slow and sound good and almost bullet proof but with these heavy bikes I’d rather the torq cause they’re not meant to be an R1 want speed get and R1 r R6 but if I was in the cam plate I’d change it all that was the main thing wrong with the twin cams cranks plates oil pump to tensioners was junk

Great video again, enjoy all of them! Twin Cams are great engines, I have a 2015 Dyna on which I just did a stage 2. It puts out 98 HP and 119 ft-lbs now on the dyno and is fun to ride (and listen to 🙂). Greetz from The Netherlands!

With my 05 FXDCI Custom I put S&S cams, lifters and the 97" top end kit along with modified stock heads. This really cranked the power up, Dynoed at mile high at 110HP 113lbs. torque. Also a Supertrapp 2 into 1.

Just bought a 1999 Electra-Glide Classic with 66,000 miles and paid $5500, I plan on upgrading to the 95" kit and changing my fuel-injection system to a Delphi. Thanks

I agree with you. It’s going to be a RK summer I’m putting one together should be ready in a few weeks. IMO I love the sound and performance of a 2 into 1 exhaust.

Do the 525 or a Wood222. You don’t need a 100mph cam. Real world dood. Btw, I did a TW222, Stage II, and it definitely woke up my 28k 2012 FLHTK. Power from 1500-5000rpm. Cruising at 75-80, I’m sitting right in the power and of the cam at about 3k. I did a Screamin Eagle Cam Plate, and a Screamin Eagle Hi Flow Oil Pump. I couldn’t be happier. Right now my bike is sitting in the shop getting the primary up to snuff with a Baker Compenator, and a Baker Adjustable Chain Tensioner. Good luck with the build.

2×1 pipes are a good choice, they sound better and produce a better average power curve. Love my Fuel Moto R&T 2×1 pipe on my 107ci Ultra, and put the Bassani Road Rage on my wife's '08 96ci Dyna Low with a noticeable power delivery change.

I got a 07 Softail custom that I am giving some love over the winter. I am installing a full cam chest upgrade from Feuling, and the Bassani Road Rage Mega Power or a Thunder Header 2-into-1. I am going to leave it at 96". Just the chest plate, cams, pump.

good vid. I just bought a 100yr anniversary softail springer with an 88B. The first thing I'm gonna do is fix the friggen compression slide but I'm toying with the idea of going 96. I just bought the bike so the money isnt there yet. I also need to get that oil cooler. I may not be able to get the one with the fan but, I will definitely get one. good post.

Like what your doing to the bikes my only butt crawl is I'm old school and to me a Harley Davidson with 2 into 1 exhaust is wrong. But I look forward to seeing your build

Funny thing is: every big twin since 1966 will get to 110mph, whether you paid $3995 new or $39,995.

TraskTurbo on a stock bike seems the way to go. Reliability will still be good and not many bikes on road will keep up

Can we get a parts list with part numbers & make of manufacture of all parts please. I have a 2004 ultra classic with a 95” kit,but time to upgrade. I would also like to upgrade to a 6 speed trans of it would have enough power to handle it

$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 🤑. There are not that many motorcycles on the market were you spend half as much again on upgrade and performance parts as a HD.

Fluid tensioners aren't the best mechanical tensioners are the best the reason for that is sometimes they don't fill up with oil or slow to fill up with oil and you will be out of time

Unless your motorcycle runs over 5,250 RPM and you're going to use it above that line there's no need to gain horsepower always gain torque torque torque torque torque torque torque is the ruling Force up until 5,250 RPM

Those aren't flat top pistons those have valve relief cutouts those are not true flat tops that's the same compression ratio as your old Pistons
