Hi guys we love your channel and in 5 years we plan to retire and travel the uk and Europe on an electric wide beam boat, can you make another video about subscribers questions and let us know how easy or hard it would be to navigate britains canals in a wide beam boat, from what we have read the north is better. So why couldn't you relocate the electrical panel around the corner? If it can be done, you'd simply need to fab up a shelf or drawer box with a flange to occupy the present location of the existing panel. With careful measurement, it could easily be shop-built and then inserted into place once on board. Below the new handrail would make an ideal shoe cubby...or wellingtons if you prefer ;-)

Hi Hayley and Richard have you both thought about getting a couple of WiFi CCTV cameras that run off solar panels that you both could monitor the boat from your mobile phones when your not on the boat

@@WidebeamandWellingtons I think there have been other people like hidie the pirate has used CCTV on the rum wrench. Putting a CCTV camera up at the front of the boat might also help when you got to go around sharp bends on canals especially if it's a blind bend where visibility is poor so a CCTV system at the front may also be an advantage in that side of things as well as for security

At the risk of sounding like a know it all...the thieves will just take out the vents and unlatch the door from inside.. better to have a double dead lock that needs a key to open from the inside as well as the out side!!.❤️🇬🇧

Yes that is a good tip but is also a little impractical for us, however we do have further plans in an upcoming vlog 👍🏻😁
