You should be against electric. The carbon footprint of that truck is probably 5 times the footprint of a non def semi truck over its lifetime. Batteries have to be changed every 5-7 years. Go look at what it takes to just mine lithium in the strip mines.

I have both the Ford and Ram the Ford will out run the Ram but I have a lot more DPF and DEF problems with the Ford and worse fuel economy. My opinion the Ram is more reliable

Them 6. 7 scorpion engines in them 2017 one ton Fords , I love them , The torque and the horse power that they have in the mountains , 12 miles to the gallon seting at 48,000 gross And around 16 miles to the gallon interstate and around town truck alone and these engines are stock , DODGE CANNOT run with them they have tried

Love the old case, is it a 4490 or a 4690? I was just plowing snow today up here in Alberta with our 4494 weighed up to 28-29000lbs. She can push a fair bit before the traction goes away, just have to be careful with the powershift in them, put it in one gear and go, don’t wanna go up and down constantly on the powershift or you can wreck the clutch plates in them. Great tractor if driven properly though

I had a 6.7 powerstroke for a couple years. I shed some useless "weight", and she ran amazing and my fuel mileage increased tremendously. I ended up selling it and went back to a old low mileage 7.3 because of the emissions regulations in my state, otherwise I'd still have it. Hope you enjoy your new truck Tim!

I don’t know who’s older 6.7 you drove, but the 6.7’s have been flat out quick since 2011, especially in the 250’s ., compared to competing trucks.. I too have been through the dodge, the ford 6.0, I even have a 450 gasser v10 that is a dog, but with 350k miles it still starts and runs daily, just needs a qt of oil a week , the 6.0 I’ve had the heads off twice, and the valve covers and oil rails another handful of times., my 6.7 has been under warranty untill a few months ago, just threw an sct canned tune on it, and I run torque pro to watch all pids, runs great…

Electric will never be feasible as long as they require batteries, and expect that 45 minute fast charge to be 90 minutes in most locations and the 300 mile range to drop to 80 if you use it as a work truck. Home charging is even slower and expensive and you don't dare park them inside or near another vehicle because if fire risks.

Are company has 8 RCL refuse collection vehicle thay are all parked and been sold each vehicle has 5 runs to do per day anywhere from 90 to 150 bins the fully electric vehicles did it for the fist week and slowly tapered off to just 1 to two runs before it needs recovery and charging the manufacturer is now saying they need a new battery at 67k pounds that's x8 with them running lights hydraulics compressor and driving soon fucks the battery

Sorry, I`m sticking with the petroleum burners. If everything switched to an electric motor, there wouldn`t be enough power plants to supply enough energy or the grid systems to deliver it. The windmill and solar systems aren`t producing the energy they thought, as a result they`re in the process of bringing back nukes that have been shut down for over 35 yrs. Right now Calif. can`t supply enough power to stop brownouts in peak usage times, and yet set a time limit on all vehicles in the state or entering the state to be electric ."Go electric" is a great idea we aren`t prepared for.

Boy if there isn’t 15 videos about this already. We just ain’t there with electric yet. And even if we get to the point where these things have more range with the trucks I wouldn’t want it. We have less lithium then we do oil and gas. It takes a lot of oil and diesel to get lithium out of the ground and it’s not like mining coal it’s strip mining which go ahead and google it and it’s a giant hole in the ground sometimes miles long and wide. It’s worse on our environment. Then you got the infrastructure We don’t have the electrical grid to supply all these EVs. We would have to build a lot more power plants and hydroelectric plants or dams and even then we would have to build these stations everywhere since their range sucks. Then you got replacing these batteries. I just spent $311 for 2 batteries in my diesel pick up. Imagine one of these vehicles? I’ve heard they can cost $15k give or take out of warranty. Then you got disposing of them ? Again way worse for our environment. And then above all of that the the power is an unregulated market meaning these power companies and the government can charge whatever they want. They have already put us in a fuel crisis what the fuck do you think is going to happen when a lot more of us have these EVs and the power grid is failing ??? I’m no tree hugger but if we’re going to play this socialist libtard game then we should be talking about the down sides which out weigh the upside by far. Remember all the wind mills ? That was a huge mistake and cost a lot of money and when they are done with those windmills there is no way to really dispose of stuff like the blades. If you research it there are videos of them dozing the blades into the ground. I think we should bar the EPA and the the government from making energy related decisions. Hell financial and war decisions too. Do your research h.

How to turn seat belt minder off. First thing I alway do in my truck!! Turn the ignition to ON but not start (key position 2, or press push to start button without your foot on the brake if you have a push to start button). Wait 5 seconds, then buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times with a 1 second pause between each buckle. Wait 4 seconds, then buckle and unbuckle again.
