Love the Bosch I own a company here in Myrtle Beach and we install a lot of Bosch units and I have the M20 in my house. Mine gives me great heat down into the low 30’s !! Keep up the great work love the channel!!!

Hey Mikey your going to have to open up an art gallery for all the filters that are Picasso. I always tell my customers to sign up for maintenance twice a yr. This prevents calls due to lack of maintenance so diagnosis is much quicker. I know Daniel does a lot of maintenance but that is where you learn and where I learned. You can tell in the first few months whose gunna succeed well or who is not meant for this trade. I hope Peter comes around soon. I think he needs more confidence in himself.

love watching you guys, I got this exact system, BOVA 2.0 condenser and air handler, also BCC1OO, LOVE IT BUT FOR some reason it over shoots the temp setting and continues to run, if I turn it to off it will shut off, but i leave it on or in auto it will continue to run!! any ideas?

Mike! Just imstalled my first bosch system today for a customer. Bosch furnace converted to propane with a heat pump . When i unboxed the equipment i couldnt believe how well built this stuff is! i live in NV we have a lot of dirt in the air plus i have dogs. i change my filter every 2 weeks in the summer every 4 weeks in the winter and 6 in the spring and fall. sounds like alot but just add to your google calendar to repet set it up once and there you go.

Reminds me of a condo we used to rent in Ocean City NJ. One winter weekend, no heat. Hardly any air coming from ductwork, but could hear the blower running in the attic. Called homeowner to find key to get into attic. Had to tear the filter apart to get it out. Asked when was the last time the filter was changed, and she said: What filter? They bought the summer place 9 years prior 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Nobody told them about any filters…could just imagine what their main home system looked like 😂😂😂

Good safety tip when cutting strut with sawzall is keep your hand as far away if u can especially with sawzall if u can cut it holding it down with foot better pressure and u save a chance from it cutting your hand.

for the conduit, use an EMT insulating bushing, better yet an emt connector with a rigid plastic insulator bushing screwed on, alternate and possibly better yet an emt to combination coupling, it goes on the conduit and provides an nm/romex clamp at the other side. 😁

That relay in the panel is probably an old lighting circuit. When copper wiring was expensive back in the 70s they would install a 24vac transformer and run thermostat wires to the wall switches to power the solenoid and switch the relay, and then run standard 14 gauge wires from the relay to the actual light fixture

Really enjoy all your videos, but especially ones covering the Bosch IDS2.0 system. I have the same setup installed by a professional recently, using my boiler for winter heat. Like you my contractor did not utilize Y2 from thermostat to air handler. You mentioned automatic staging. I know this is true for the condenser as it is an inverter type. But when I used my AC for a few days. I never noticed the blower speed drop from what seems full speed. The Bosch install manual shows Y2 used for setups with 2 stage thermostats like mine the ecobee3 lite. Will my blower speed ever ramp down to low speed without connecting the Y2 circuit? Note: I have not tested blower speed in heat mode.

Don't count on replacing that old round ICP anytime soon, they live forever! There's one at United Refrigeration in Bethel Park PA from the late 80's that's still running strong.. The legs are completely rusted out at the bottom, the coil is the only thing holding up the lid and fan lol. Made in America!

Mike can you explain the coil flip? Never saw one where the air didn't enter the large side of the A coil. Is that commonly done on a draw through system as opposed to a blow through?

No that’s a multi brand thing RHEEM RUUD lennox etc all can flip coils. Especially cased coils themselves can be reversed just by flipping the coil 180 degrees. opening instead of orientation. That’s what I have seen out there anyways.

@@PipeDoctor The dealer said because of our register system that's in the concrete and not knowing the setup, the Carrier model has better airflow. He's saying to go with a Bosch 036 over a 060 unit based on the number of registers. We have two story with 14 registers. Said the 060 would be too much airflow for the system and too loud. I hope he's right. I always worry about having a undersized system.

Hey Mike, you need to get a sheet metal brake!!!! LOL. Been reading up on the IDS 2.0 a lot. I'm getting ready to put one in my home, 2 zones so setting the low fan speed is self explanatory. My biggest question I have which nobody can seem to answer is what should you set low at? I understand static pressure will dictate that but what if you want to mess with your static to achieve the desired airflow??? See what I'm saying!!!!!
