Upgrading Your VW Bug with a Holley Carb

Special upgrade this week from ‪@RADesignsPerformance‬ we got a Holley 2 Barrel 350. This will be part one of the installation with some tuning in the next video.
This carb will definitely take our 1600 to the next level, unlocking the full potential of the turbo with this carburetor. I’m very happy with the installation and how it worked straight out of the box.

A bit similar to one of mine -Weber 32DAT from a early lancia delta hf turbo, fitted onto an old empi twin choke manifold

4:29 I take the header off, weld the rest of it and clean everything. No issues and still running strong.

The 350 2 barrel is fully capable of running on a 1600 all the way to a 2387!

Bit if a T angle going on! Two nice rounded curves are better.....if you have space.

I have a lot of questions.. lol I have the Holley 500cfm 2bbl. I am clueless on tuning this carb . What valve clearance should be and are you runninpoints are electronic ignition. ?

Valves should be at .006, and I’m running electronic ignition. Holley carbs on a aircooled need higher timing, idle, and need to run a little rich, I try to shoot for 11.8 to 12.5 AFR.

@@EmmettRacing ok valves all set. I am lacking the boost that should be there. My vacuum from the turbo is run to the " timed spark vacuum port"should i be running it on the power brake boost port on the front. I have my Bug pack breather line set up there
