Dan Hubbard, I think you are fantastic. I love your sweet and generous vibe. So refreshing! I hate having to wade through zillions of usless videos, trying to learn this stuff. most of it is dudes with huge smelly egos, who just want to show off, rather than share. You are a GIFT!

Running PEX through previous holes in floor joists or 2x4’s. I use a small piece of 3/4” PEX & run 1/2” PEX trough it. I put an expansion sleeve/collar on the leading end to keep it in the wood hole as I pull the 1/2” PEX. It’s a loose fit & it keeps the 1/2” PEX from rubbing in the wood hole. I use scrap pieces for this.

Thank you for this, I may try it! My project is in an old house with very dense, old-growth wood. Drilling, hammering, and screwing into it -- even for the tiny screws or nails these little hangers use -- is like dealing with concrete. If I do not pre-drill even small holes, I risk failure. I swear the wood must be petrified. If your method can delete that step for going through 2X that sounds good to me.

Excellent. I had no idea what the pipe hangers were called. Tube talons. ... pex suppention clamps. You can't buy what you can't find..

Is there a trick to pull those things out? Having a hell of a time pulling them off because I need to love the pex so I can paint behind them. And can't use a hammer because I'm afraid of damaging the pex.

Can you point me to the clip you demonstrate starting at 1:25? I can’t locate it on the website and need about 50 ASAP!
