Upright fridges are inefficient. Open the door and the cold literally falls out. Sounds nuts, but it's not. Use thermal test equipment to see. This also affects power consumption. The items maybe easily reached, but the volume is decreased. Chest type every time. Revert to commercial kitchens ..that will give you a clue as to the use of different types of fridge/freezers.

Awesome vid guys, Iam not a fan of draws to much weight, Ive got two cheap Chinese uprights had them for around 6 years a 95lt and 55lt in the back of my 80, between the two Ive got 37lt freezer and 113lt fridge space, Never had troubles with not running in steep country, been to the Cape 5 or 6 times,

hello what i want to know is these upright fridges with small freezer . the freezer ices up. which means the fridge does not work efficently. does the fridge struggle to keep the temp down when this happens? if you go back to when we didnt have frost free fridges at home every now and then youd have to defrost then you would notice the fridge work properly again.

Upright everyday of week, big saving in weight.

Yeah big weight saving when you can’t carry fuck all food or drinks in it .

Why not get an equal amount of food and drinks that are realistic for 2 or 3 days camping . Put all of it in each fridge . Show how it can stack in . Show how easy or difficult it is to fit everything . Drive some tracks with everything in there to see where everything ends up .

Uprights fridges have better “ ease of use “ as long as you do t want to put any food. , drinks in it or drive anywhere ! Lol . Everybody doing these reviews never out realistic amount of shit in an upright and show what happens when you open the door after a drive . They put a pissy amount of shit in them and show how great the access is . Yeah it’s great but good luck fitting anything in it !

100% agree mate. Chest is the king for storage. Can’t fit much at all in the upright that’s for sure.
