Dude how did I never think of this before?! I just hope this act of kindness doesn't get corrupted like everything else in this world by having non-delivery people hear of the house w/ the free snacks and come and steal the food not meant for them. If that's the case then like the saying goes, this is why we can't have nice things.

In my country I know for a fact that would happen. But also our delivery people don't leave our packages at the door for that very reason that someone will steal it, you HAVE to be home to accept it or it goes back.

This really is such a good idea! My husband and I met one guy last year he had been working double shifts snowing out and his wife was sick in the hospital w COVID he wasn't allowed to see her for a month but you could tell he was exhausted and a bit down We gave him a big coffee mug of hot chocolate and a donut he was over the moon!! I've never been a delivery driver but I used to be in cadets and there were many times we'd be out for 8 hours in -30C weather. Each pair got assigned certain locations and everyone would always want to be near the coffee and food shops because ppl would sometimes get us stuff during the time we were out there. Unfortunatly me and my pair got assigned to a hardware store where very few ppl went because there was a much better and bigger one down the road. There was no cover overhead and a very small space to stand outside the storefront, it was very cold and snowing. Only a few ppl came by so there was very little to do but about half way through the day a lady who was going to the store got a poppy off us as many had that day and gave us the normal greeting. It all seemed normal until she left the store and then drove away only to come back 30min later with hot chocolate for us. I still appricate and rember that kindness to this day, the fact she went out of her way to buy it and bring it back to us makes me all the more thankful. Little acts like that really impact ppl and just lighten up their day.
