Speedy for a slope soarer, but beautiful as ever! I was watching your interview of 2 years ago one bit reminded me of something. Aeromodelers around The Vale Of York started noticing (in the 1970s) this guy who would turn up at slopes to watch glider flying; he had a deckchair and some beer, he spoke to no one but just sat there. This would manifest for a fortnight or so each year. One day someone engaged him in conversation and it turned out he was an American FAI champion "Blasta" c/l combat man.. One of the best, and watching slope soaring was his 'mental detox' routine; also he did say that in his opinion, British flyers do it the best! Certainly YOUR films give whale song a REAL run for its money. Keep up the good work John and thanks for all the relaxation. Aaahhhh.. ⭐👍

Wonderful glider, one of my favourite of his kind. And is still pristine like mine. They aged better then me😂

The only flying I can get these days seems to be vicariously! Living in Bedfordshire the only nearby place to fly is Ivinghoe and Deacon Hill, both of which have had a few days of the correct wind for my gliders since perhaps March, and all of which I have missed! Ive never had such a long time without flying. These vids keep me going haha.

We are in the process of moving house at the moment. It feels like I haven’t been flying for ages. I’m looking forward to getting my new workshop setup.

Bloody Hell John! She's a real scorcher. Looks to faster than most of my powered models. Were you carrying ballast? Good looking bird as well. Kudos to your videographer. She did a fine job of keeping up with that missile. The editing and music choice, outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. It didn’t have any ballast in it and it’s not a particularly heavy glider. I’m not sure why it goes so fast!

That is a really neat looking slope soarer. Can you tell us any more about the model please?
@SlopeRCGliders Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I don’t know a great deal about the glider. It’s one I picked up at a model swap-meet ready to fly. It’s got a balsa fuselage and a foam veneer wing.
