Himachal lower and Jammu are same people. Jai deya or Jai Deva is a greeting used by Rajputs to greet each other in Jammu and himachal.

​@@Shawn_mike34 just one correction brada, all of himachal not just lower himachal, you go to upper himachal and you will notice that all Four varnas living there are hardcore sanatani. even so called lower classes ( as per british clasificcation ) are also belong to the the warrior class. you will notice that Sword or other weapons are part of their ritual even in their folk dances they carry Sword or some other form of weapon. Jai deva used by everyone in himachal, this reflects their devotition to their Kul Devta (Form of Shiv or Shakti in Most Cases ), Gram devta and Nagar Devta ( Baba balak nath in most cases ). You can see Natt samaj also living their and perform locally during navratris. Even Gugga peer is celebrated in himachal on special occasion this is one of the last connections they still have with current Rajasthan and Sindh area. Tantra is part and parcel of himachali lives. True HImachali is more scared of Tantric activities than anything in his life. Vedic rituals are must in Himachali life ( Hawan, Teej, Satya narayan Katha, Hariyali Vrat Katha, Puranmashi Vrat and Udyapan , Kaal Sarp dosh Puja, birth Samskaras.Maha mrritunjaya path etc ). In Nutshell, Himachal is the last standing Bastion of Sanatan. it is where you can all Sampradayas are living and growing in peace and harmony.

Their is professor who is trying to revive the tankri language. He is based in nurpur, government also lamley trying to promote it. I still has lot of books in this language but don’t know how to read it as My grandfather used to write in Tankri language as all these recorded belong to him. 🙏 I did try to contact the professor as well but no luck I was happy to private fund the translation as this is the only memeory I have of my grandfather sadly no luck🙏

Rohit, Gulab Singh was not employee of Ranjit Singh. Earlier he was fight for the Lost empire of Dogras of Jammu, subsequently he joined Ranjit Singh. You can call him his ally and not the employee.

Dhar are Kashmir pandits from Kashmir region and Dogras are from Jammu and Lower Himachal Pradesh (Dharamshala,Mandi,Chamba etc.).Kashmiris and Dogras are separate people with different language and culture.Dogras of Jammu and Himachal share the same language,culture,traditions,food etc.,they also intermarry and have family relations in between them.

Apologies but this person is not a qualified person to speak in this context. I couldn't find any credentials against his name related to history. He is a energy consultant. In the first 20 mins I have watched, I found major misinformation 1. Gulab Singh was made raja after his father in 1822 after the campaign not before. 2. Kharak Singh was imprioned and poisoned by his own son Nau Nihal Singh 3. Nau Nihal Singh alongside Udham Singh son of Gulab Singh died under mysterious circumstances from falling bricks/walls/plaster 4. Article 2 of the treaty of Amritsar 1846 clearly states that for the lands transferred to Maharaja Gulab Singh of Jammu, he will transfer 75 lakhs Nanekshahi rupees to the British. The payment was made in installments in 4 years from 1846 to 1850 and even the receipts say the same. I am not wasting my time listening to any more misinformation. This hurts the history of Jammu way more than you realize. Leaving this comment for others
