Merry Christmas everyone from beautiful wife, crazy neighbor, and I! I was editing and editing and then finally said GOOD ENOUGH or else it's going to be an after Christmas video. All the best to you and your families, and thanks so much for making this a great year for us. I was technically allowed to be camping in this lot, but there was the usual drama, the property owner wasn't even sure what the rail police would do if we were camped out there. Cheers and Hunker Down my friends!!!

Steve, and others! Former Union Pacific Railroad worker here. The “Red Zone” is 3 feet away from the tracks. That’s the danger zone. I’ve seen things come off trains from further away that can destroy whatever is in the way. This is very dangerous, please stay as far away from the tracks as possible. Cars can come unhitched and roll silently, cables can come loose and hit and wrap around things out to 8 feet or more. I’ve seen it. Please be safe. Trains look slow and lumbering, but they have mass and can’t stop like you would think. The “Bulls” aren’t trying to harass you, they’re trying to save your life.

I absolutely love the nuttiness and craziness in each video. It gives me something to look forward to on Thursdays. Congratulations on all the success Steve I’ve been with you from when you were living in your tent going to school. Keep up the great work. From Michigan USA. ❤️

It’s a stealth camping with Steve Christmas special! I used to live in a house by some old railroad tracks. The trains would go by about once a week. It took some time to get used to, but after about a couple of month it didn’t wake me up any longer. I can wait to see where you camp next. Also a high vis safety vest and the attitude that you belong there or just doing your job will trick a lot of people in to thinking you are supposed to be there.

Steve should have flagged one of the CN police officers down and asked if they could hold the noise down a little, while him and Crazy Neighbor are trying to get a little shut eye...

Who else would pay to have Steve and Mike Rowe camp together? Or better yet dueling voice over for a nature documentary.

I was just watching train videos, I got a model train for Christmas, and you rail camping video pops up - How Cool. I had to figure out what day it was, I thought it must have been Thursday, but the 12 year old straighten me out, it is Wednesday. Must be a Christmas special, I love it! Might need earplugs next time. Merry Christmas, stay warm.
