Hi, just want to say thanks again for the amazing content! You've inspired me to explore the Bronx in my own way, which would be cycling through the many miles of bike routes. Very nice to see your videos then explore the same areas but on land, gives a diffrent and better perspective.

Some background on Co-Op City for you: it’s the single largest apartment complex in NYC, with something like 200,000 residents IIRC. It was conceived by (in)famous urban planner Robert Moses in the 1960s and is built on the site of an old amusement park. It basically is a mini-city built from scratch, with a shopping mall, school and other services all onsite-even its own dedicated power plant (which apparently smells like maple syrup). “Co-op” refers to the ownership structure-rather than buying an apartment outright, like a condo, you buy a share of stock in the company that owns the complex, which entitles you to occupy an apartment in the building. Co-op apartments are pretty common in NYC, but I’m not sure if it’s a thing in other cities.

@TwoFeetOutdoors
@TwoFeetOutdoors 6 күн бұрын
@RonaldDailey-z8b Thank you for the suggestion. A lot of viewers like to use Google maps to follow along and follow the landmarks while I'm paddling. I'm trying to figure out the best way to include maps, but a quick flash of a map on the screen that disappears after a few seconds doesn't help that much either. I even noticed that when Im watching KZbinrs, I like. Being monetized, I also fear copyright strikes, so I use 100% my own footage / images. Be patient with me. I'm working hard at improving my skills. I do appreciate the compliments. Thank you for watching.

Are you going to go to the Eastchester Bay and also Long Island Sound which are larger bodies of water???
@TwoFeetOutdoors
@TwoFeetOutdoors 6 күн бұрын
I do tend to avoid large open bodies of water for 2 reasons. One is safety, and two, I believe it's less scenery for the viewer. With that said, I'm always going to be exploring more and want to see more of Eastchester Bay, City Island, and areas along the Long Island Sound. I don't like heavy boating or shipping areas. There are some cool islands off New Rochelle, too. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it.
