Looking south at 28:45 is Breakneck Ridge on the left and across the river to the right is Storm King Mtn., two great hiking areas. These days, my knees prevent the scramble up Breakneck but in the '70s we would do overnight backpacking trips further back on the ridge, before it was "illegal" to camp up there. Except for disco, the '70s were a good time... The Hudson Valley is stunningly beautiful; I'm glad you made the trip up, recorded your experience and shared it...a really great video.

I lived in the Hudson Valley near New Paltz/Kingston and never heard about this beautiful castle along the Hudson River. Cheers man!----just as a thought you might want to try the Mohonk Trail--it is a road carefully choregraphed for place for you to walk but there is a subset trail called Smiley's Tower---200 years ago it was a Fire Station for all the Shangunk Mountains (which are an extention of the the Appalachian trail) the Tower is a lighthouse for all the mountain ridges. You should look it up Smileys tower man its a beautiful place indeed. t
