make a decision early on what you're going to do about the Steering Rack, eg setting aside a date to do it (having established for yourself that it does indeed have play in it), could be a big job. Consider MOT-ing it again in the Autumn so that you can hopefully get a full season of camping happiness

Fab job! Just something to consider, the top of the roof would be better painted in a light colour to reflect the sun. It might get too hot in strong sunny days with the dark roof.

yeah moving evenly and keep the same distance from the part youre painting try not to spray paint untill youre moving and stop before youre moving back , this should lay the paint on evenly allso plan out how youre going to paint it aspecially big vans like this one have ladders or a scaffold ready and set up and plan where you stop and start so you dont spray over paint thats allready starting to dry (makes paint go dull and or not flow out good enough) , one way to do that is opening the door and do the rear do the doorjamb and the edge of the door close the door and work forwards go over the hood fender door open door etc , roof needs to be done while you work youre way back . likely have a dull center along the middle of the roof as its verry hard to work fast enough to cover everything before the paint starts to dry the roof is the least visable part allso keep track of the hose so it dont drop intoo or drags over the fresh paint and make sure when walking over to the other side you drag enough hose with you to get to the end , running back to pull on a airline snagged behind a tire makes you loose youre workflow been a painter in my younger days before they whent to waterbased paints (these get sprayed on in a different way , light coat then cover coat and they spray it on after a realy short drying time over the last layer ) if i would pick up a paintgun now i probably mess it up , takes a bit of recent experiance to be good at it

hi nice job again, there is a way you can adjust the shims on the steering rack and i got a set of alloy wheel for sprinter if you are interested ,, when are you down south west wales next ( pembrey)

Is the transit custom a victim of the oil bath cambelt failure problem? Ours has just had an engine on warranty even though it’s 17 years old and out of warranty and we didn’t even buy it from Ford. Hope you get it sorted bud. Best of luck.

Door handles & mirrors are seconds to take off on an early sprinter, shame you didnt spend a little longer doing some sensible removal of badges, handles etc.
