This guy's killing it, I love it. This song brings back so many mixed memories, my husband's mom and mine were best friends, but for some reason my parents couldn't stand him. We met when we were 10, when we were 12, he told my grandma he wanted to marry me, he told her again when we were 13, he was poor, like my parents were. Well, grandma bought a very pretty birthstone ring and told him we had her blessing, but we weren't allowed to tell anyone. He proposed and I said yes. My grandma went to our house on my birthday and gave me the ring, so they thought it was a birthday present from my grandma and my aunt. We graduated high school in 1976 and as soon as we were both 18, we got married, my mom didn't talk to me for 4 years. And yes, we're still married.
