Beautiful project ! I wonder what these hands would type on a keyboard 😅
@urituchmanpigeon Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Honestly, there was a time we thought about synchroniseing the hands to an actual scrolling text, but we figured it will be nearly impossible 😂. However I'd love it if someone sat down and figuerd what it would say if a keyboard was placed underneath.

@@urituchmanpigeon Well you had the chance to determine the message with the discs. Could have been something along the lines of: "Help I can't stop typing!"

@@newtype2118 I just thought about that and the simpliest way to make it write a message would be to have 10 unique characters, including a space so each finger could have just 1 output. ''I can't stop'' could work well, because if you exclude all the repeating characters (so it looks like I CAN'TSOP) it's exactly 10 characters - 1 for each finger and then it's just a matter of properly timed discs. Love that idea!

You need to do thumb rolling machine next, in Finland we have this saying when we are doing nothing "there's nothing to do but roll your thumbs". That looks similar to when praying people cross their fingers but palms are open so your thumbs can orbit eachother.

With regard to the band saw, when you have to get a new one, I recommend getting one with a brushless motor. If a brushed DC motor gets jammed up for too long, all of the inductors will eventually become saturated and you basically end up with a short circuit. With a brushless motor, the motor current will always be alternating, so it won’t short, even if it gets stuck.
