Fantastic video!!! Very informative. Everyone keep telling me to use purple shampoo. Didn’t even know they have blue shampoo. I bleached from almost black hair, and of course it turned orange. So I had to bleached it again because the purple shampoo wasn’t toning enough. Still too much orange. so....I left the purple shampoo on over night. Yes!!! My hair is now purple. Glad tomorrow is Halloween, so I have an excuse before I can wash it after work with dawn dish soap and lemon juice. I wish I had seen this video 24 hours sooner, cause I’m pretty sure I just need the blue shampoo instead of purple. Now I know. Thank you for showing the difference.

This was extremely helpful, thank you so much. Also, your energy is beautifully radiant and loving, thank you for sharing that with the world💖 My hair is bleached to an extreme platinum- it’s more like white (and of very nice quality- it looks like a white human hair lace front wig lol), My natural is a medium dark blonde with a naturally somewhat straight wave (my ethnicity is Italian and Finnish.) My stylist suggested that I use blue instead of purple and I love how my hair looks after she does it so I’m about to wash my hair for the first time with blue, I’m going to leave it on for the recommended 2-3 minutes and then update here to add to the study. Purple shampoo adds too much ash for me so I’m hoping to have a “brighter” result with the blue.

I’m 60 years old and had dark brown hair from the salon for the last few years. I had my hair bleached and then colored dark slate grey, but it seemed to just turn it a paler shade of ash brown with a lot of gold highlights. So I tried purple shampoo once. Didn’t do anything. Then I tried it a second time, leaving it in longer. Nothing. Then I tried putting blue shampoo on straight from the bottle without even wetting my hair, and my hair turned a little green. Exasperated, I gave up for a while. Then the 4th time I just jumped in the shower and used the blue shampoo on wet hair, not thinking it would do anything….to my amazement, it is now a GORGEOUS dark slate grey that I wanted in the first place. There is still a tiny bit of leftover green, but it’s darker and more like a dark teal that you have to get real close to see, and it blends in beautifully with the dark grey. I think I’ve discovered that it helps if you give it time and repeat the shampooing multiple times 😅

I have natural dark brown hair in my roots but the rest is pretty yellow hair colour tone is about10 but i know that bleaching is harmful i dont want damage my hair anymore but it looks drastically bad with my roots. So what happens if i apply the colour 10.11 dye directly without bleaching and using blue shampoo to get rid of orangeness and brassy parts ? And i know that it looks orange in roots without bleaching it. What do you think is blue shampo really works for nonbleaching and directly applied box dye 10.11??

it looks like what you are describing.. you need more than blue shampoo. you need a color correction to fix your uneven tones... the box dye and blue shampoo will not help...

Most helpful video so far. I tried to have my afro hair ends re bleached but now have orange underneath the blonde but my hair is not long enough to really shampoo or tone separately. To tone down just the orangeness would it be wide to use blue shampoo, maybe on wet hair, for short time without turning the blonde parts blue?
@UrManeAveTv2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do that but sometimes the orange part are not bleached enough, so you might have to bleach those part again, depending on how light you want your hair to be.

i like a lot your videos they are very informative. im a beginner so i am a little confuse here, are these shampoos replacing the toner or after the toner? this is what i gather 🤔blue/purple shampoos are for self care for the hair after the color process is done, meaning after bleaching n toning. i know after a while the hair changes due many different reasons, they turn yellow/orange tones so these shampoos are to get them back on track. correct me if im wrong. tnks😊

Loving your videos! Maybe you can help I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to decide if I need blue or purple went to Sally’s no help sorry if this is a little long I had probably a level 9-10 blonde roots were golden went to Sally’s got ion 5n permanent put it on my whole head it’s super brassy but I’m nervous as to what I should use blue or purple I don’t want green hair. I’m trying to figure it out myself because I’ve done my own hair for yrs went to a salon for a balayage and it been a nightmare since any suggestions would be very appreciated I’ve been watching your videos and you know what your talking about❤️
@UrManeAveTv5 жыл бұрын
why did you use the 5N on level 9-10 hair? were your trying to darken it? if you hair is now a brassy orange then you should be using blue shampoo... Since the color is permanent you might need a little more than just purple/ blue to achieve the tonation you want....or did you want to be darker.... if you intended to be a level 7ish... you may have to do a soap cap on to remove some color then tone to desired medium blonde color... I think it will be helpful to know what color you wanted to achieve that made you use the 5N...
@lillianm12425 жыл бұрын
UrManeAve_Tv thank you for responding! My intention were to go back to my natural color then do baby lights but my natural color is not a 5 it’s lighter maybe a 6 or 7 I tried telling the girl at Sally’s that but she was not understanding love Sally’s but some of the girls just don’t know. My hair is like orange reddish brown I thought if I maybe tried blue shampoo it would take some of the brass out but I’m not sure I’m just frustrated with the whole situation. I committed to ‘never dying my hair again’ a couple years ago. I have always dyed it darker, browns and blacks. Now that the dyes are pretty much washed out, the bottom half of my hair is ORANGISH? (very long locks, upper half is medium brown as natural growth) So I’m using the blue shampoo Fanola no orange in an attempt to get the red head look out. I’ve gotten so many comments about being a red head and I don’t really like red hair on myself. Hopefully this works to lighten up the copper tones! Thank you so much for the demos!

My hair is gray and black but has like a light brown on the ends how do I get rid of the brown

you prob have to use a color remover to remove the brown or prob lighten you ends depending on how you want your end results... or maybe go to a professional..

I really loved your video, it really helped me out a lot. I was wondering which I should use on my hair because I have brown hair and then professionally lightened/highlighted with golden & blond highlights about 3 years ago. I bought the Joico Blue shampoo but only left it in for about 3 minutes 2 days ago, and I do see I difference (it tone down the brassiness, somewhat). I am wondering if I should try the blue shampoo again and leave it on for another 3 to 5 minutes? Will a second time tone it down some more or should I leave it alone after my first try? Can anyone give me some advice with this. If I try it a second time and I don't like the results will it wash out in a couple of weeks anyway? :-)
