I just bought the 1.5 acre waterfront property @ 8:34. I will be building a nice cabin for fishing. Maybe in a year or two.

Such a rare clear day on the banks of the Wishkah. That old, now vacant building on the left at 4:43 was my home in 1991-1992. I was actually living in Aberdeen when Nevermind came out (although they had relocated to Seattle a few years before). Funny to see the $5.35 gas price at the Circle K in Hoquiam; it was down to $3.79 last week.

Great tour of Kurt Cobain's home town- not mention the Nirvana songs being played throughout as it's rare for Kyle to feature copyrighted music in his road videos now. It's just a shame Cobain ended up joining the dreaded "27-Club."

The Aberdeen sign with the plaque that says "Come As You Are" is on US 12 westbound heading into the city.

It's been 12 years since I was last in Aberdeen. My family and I would always stop in Aberdeen on the way to Westport/Ocean Shores.

Nice tour around some of the Kurt tributes in Aberdeen, Kyle. Glad you had a sunny day on the banks of the Wishkah. Sooooo, are we all going to list our top three Nirvana tracks? 1) About a Girl 2) Molly's Lips 3) Curmudgeon 🎸

How awesome! I really loved Nirvana when they first came out in the early 90s and was crushed when KC committed suicide. I’m glad to see his hometown honoring him with a memorial park.

Aberdeen always seemed like a place a real life Popeye would live.

Really good tour of Aberdeen! I haven’t seen his boyhood home or the memorial park yet. Maybe the next time I’m in the area will check it out. IMHO the loss of Kurt Cobain was a generational music talent loss. I think rap and hip hop probably wouldn’t be as dominant as they are now if he was still around! Being a bridge nut this area has lots of bridge history and I can remember a couple of bridges that used to be there but are long gone! It looks like you did your trip in the opposite direction about a month after I did the same trip. I drove from Olympia to Aberdeen but by the much longer route through Port Angeles and Forks. My goal on this trip was to close a major US 101 gap! That gap is now closed. Only one more stretch left for me to have done the whole length of 101, San Francisco to LA! looking forward to the rest of your trip north on 101. Don’t see too many videos on that particular stretch.
