Jesus! I'm 60 and can crawl 2 miles in 21 minutes! Still running 8 minute miles at my age.

The new ACFT is totally easy to pass the standards are totally achievable. The biggest fail rate is that leg tuck, but it is the wording you have to look at to pass it. Small, inconsequential, or passive movement of the body and twisting of the trunk is permitted.The Soldier will return under control to the straight-arm position, elbows straight, to complete each repetition. If the elbows remain bent, the next repetition will not count. The Soldier does not have to be completely still. So no where it says in the standards that you have to get a 90 degree just contact of knee to the elbow- tricep area. Hopefully that helps anyone struggling with upper body strength.

ERA of TECH Very well explained! I agree its way easier and actually FUN to do whereas the APFT felt more like a chore.

@@Jabarikjay as a former running stud, and now self proclaim gym rat I am glad the Army is changing over to this!

ERA of TECH I 100% agree with you man. I Lowkey wish they’d reduce that 2 mile though to a mile and a half. Maybe a 100m sprint 🤷🏾♂️🌚

@@Jabarikjay speaking of the two mile being 18 minutes, for as long as I have been in 9 minute pace was always the standard for company runs or higher. Which was always a disadvantage for our female counterparts because that is close to their max. The question is your views on whether that should change?
@Jabarikjay4 жыл бұрын
ERA of TECH everyone wanted an equal playing field and now we have one so with that being said whoever can’t maintain the minimum standard will just have to work hard and do better.

Great content. Great intro with the mask covering. I tried to workout with my brother and his fellow battle buddies and I almost died. 🤣🤣 I was not use to that extreme workout routine. Yes that rona is most definitely making Department of Defense say cover up your mouth, and face.

@@Jabarikjay I tired it much as possible. However, my brother is out of military now nd he went from muscles, 8 pack abs to daddy with kid(s) plural and now he is a grandfather. 🤣🤣 I've been able to maintain my weight,but I need to work on my chest,arms,glutes,abs to bring about a better cut of muscles.

I like the test but wish they'd dump the 2 mile run and add a weighted ruck March timed and add some distance to sprint and keep the rest the same
@Jabarikjay4 жыл бұрын
Rebekah-Chris S-K I agree, they can toss the 2 mile in the trash

Cooks are actually in the significant category and mechanics and in the lowest category. When I was looking at the breakdown I was like 😮. The majority of the army falls in the lowest category. I’m actually in the significant category. However I do agree that you have to actually prepare yourself . Those who lift weights are more prepared than those that don’t. I’ll be honest I’m a runner but I hold my own lifting wise. I hate the ball toss 🤦🏾♀️. Great video, good insight. Level 2 certified 😝😝😝
@Jabarikjay4 жыл бұрын
it’sEzra I love the ball toss, it’s different. The sprint drag carry is my favorite because I feel like it’s a race with the person in the lane next to me.
@tiphani19834 жыл бұрын
The only event I’m ok with is the , deadlift, pushups, and the two mile run. The sprint drag carry is a beast😬😬
@Jabarikjay4 жыл бұрын
it’sEzra most definitely it is, I love the deadlift too because it shows who really lifts. The 2 mile they can toss it in the trash in my opinion.

See Rona messed up our transition from the APFT to the ACFT as cadets.. Because we can't go to gyms. And I know I have to start lifting
@Jabarikjay4 жыл бұрын
Joshua Gayle just keep practicing what you can for it. Cadet land is always alittle different so while big army is doing ACFT y’all still might be doing APFT anyway

Im not sure, but I think ROTC switches to the ACFT in October 2020.
