At which rank would you need to be to take the journeyman test

Doesn't work like that in the army. There's no journeyman tests. They teach you the basics, then give you just enough time to forget it all while your doing dumb shit at your unit and then drop you off in the desert and expect you to figure it out and keep a base operational while taking indirect fire. That's my experience anyway. We got it done, though.
