Also bring somebody with you to the embassy so that he/she can wait for you outside to hold your bag with cellphones or any other electronic devices as those are prohibited inside the embassy. Or just don’t bring those with you.

Hi, On family based immigrate visa interview. Do I need to bring Affidavit of Support or financial evidence that I have submitted to NVC ? But on my interview letter says : " If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, you must upload this to CEAC or bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview." What does it mean ?

Hi Hira, can you please help me understand one point. I submitted IR5 visa for my mom and got interview visa appointment email. On the bottom they have section with Additional Applicants, where my name and my adult brother's name mentioned. I didn't submit any docs for my brother. Does it mean he needs to join the interview with my mom? Also does it mean if he goes to that interview, he will be also receiving visa? Thank you in advance!

Should we take valid police report. Because when my documents were accepted we were waiting for interview but unluckily COVID restriction it delayed a year now my police report that was attached has been expired. Should I make it again or they will accept expired but attached with documents

Though Police certificate is not required for Pakistan it’s best to take unexpired documents with you along with the submitted documents

Hi Hira , case F2A Interviewed Islamabad embassy August 2019 after interview AP submitted all documents required in November 2019 after that refused in March 2020 Last updated 5th March 2021 but my passport expiring may 2021 should I ask them to send it back so I can renew it or should I wait for there respond plz answer my question Thanks

Us embassy is the final place you go for your interview and get your visa whiles USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Service) is where you first start your initial processing for your visa.
