Dan doesn't hesitate to show his emotions . He has power , passion , animation , heart and soul along with being so humble and real. He uses his platform to address suicide prevention and mental health issues. He's an amazing Man. Every time I hear Dan sing this, I am blinking back tears by the time we get to the screaming eagle at the end. This is how it should be sung, strong and powerful. I am glad i noted the flag on the wall and recommended that you had to see this. I think it should be used for sporting events, broadcast signoffs, and political campaigns. Dan is special, and I would love to see more American's achieve that depth of feeling when they consider the battle of Fort McHenry, and the meaning of that flag. Next up should be one of his Sabaton covers, or I'll Make a Man Out of You. War is hell, but Dan sees some inspiration in it.

I recommend you watch Dans apology to this video. Apparently some anti Americans thought he owed them an apology. It’s sad, that a man who is Brazilian and has never even been to the US, has more respect for our country than some ungrateful Americans who were born and raised here and who are enjoying the freedom we have. Absolutely the way I felt after seeing this the first time. My family has been filled with men (and women) who have fought for our country. The way Dan honors this country that isn't even his own, and the heartfelt way he presents it, hits me very hard. I think the only other person who has sung it in that way, was when my youngest daughter (who is a TREMENDOUS singer and musician) sang it at her senior class graduation. She was only there because she had been allowed to do her elective classes there, while I homeschooled her (from 7th grade onward). She sang the anthem with all of her heart and soul, and there were tears all over the auditorium. I'll never forget that day, and I'll never forget hearing Dan sing this (even if I DIDN'T listen to it every other day or so--grin). Thank you very much, for your wonderful reaction.

First of all, thank you for your service, I could see how deeply affected you were. Secondly, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe with my high school band for the International Music Festival in Vienna, Austria in 1972. The first night we gathered with other bands and heard the Austrian National Anthem and the United States National Anthem. I've never been so proud to be an American. This is how the American Armed Forces deserves to have it sung! It is 11 months since you produced this, but I will have to say, it is needed now in 2024, more now than ever before. Outside sources from our country have weakened us, as Lincoln predicted, "from within". I advise those naysayers to this powerful piece, hear his rendition of 'Amazing Grace." I just this week heard Dan's version and it's now among my top 3 favorite versions of the National Anthem. The other 2 favorites are Whitney Houston's traditional version and Madison Rising's version. If you've never heard the one by Madison Rising before, it's on KZbin, and the lead singer is US Navy Veteran, David Bray. It is quite amazing.
