The standalone Watch plan requires a separate iCloud account from the one you are using on your other Apple devices. So it is likely useful for children and some other limited uses but might not be worth the trouble in many cases just to save $60/year. If you already have US Mobile as your main cellular, then the companion plan is a great deal.

Verizon also charges similar activation fees and monthly taxes and fees as AT&T on attached watch lines. I know because I used to be a Verizon customer with one.

That's quite the hassle to do it. Here where I live (international viewer), I simply go to the Watch app and to the Cellular section. I have to login to my carrier account online and enable the add-on directly on the Watch app and I'm good to go.

Yes warp network(Verizon) only so far.

3:45 you mentioned taxes and fees from AT&T, but not Verizon. T-Mobile is the only big 3 carrier that includes taxes and fees on smartwatch lines, and they’re only included if you have a tax-inclusive T-Mobile phone plan. If your T-Mobile phone plan is tax-exclusive (like Essentials), then you’ll pay taxes on the smartwatch line with T-Mobile too.

@@Mohan22369 If you have native Boost coverage (Dish Network) or good T-Mobile and AT&T coverage in your area and the places you frequent, then you are good to go. If Verizon is the only one that works, then no.
