KFC in México is more of a family restaurant, the bigger portions is so people can bring it to reunions, gatherings and share.

In Mexico we all generally love KFC. I personally don't think the crave for Pollo Feliz and the crave for KFC are the same thing. And I get what he means about it not being real food but I think he meant it in the "you can't live off of Junk Food forever". They're different kinds of food. I would've made the comparison about KFC against other *actually* fried chicken chains. The only one that __kinda__ makes some competition is Popeye's. And even then there's barely any Popeye's compared to KFC. KFC is popular cause it was the very first American chain to come to Mexico in 1969. We've perceived a decline in the quality but it's maintaned itself fairly good. It doesn't really work the same as in the US cause it's too expensive for the lower class population. But middle-upper class people, we tend to enjoy some KFC every now and then. I would argue it's among the most popular chains in Mexico alongside Carl's Jr. and Burger King

Born and raised mexican here. Not to mention the promos. We've had this long running promo called Ke Miercoles, where on Wednesdays in the bucket combos you get additional pieces. The amount of extra pieces varies per bucket combo but the biggest, which is the 14 piece, gets you 7 more pieces. Turning it into the biggest bucket with a 21 piece count. Yes, for 1 day of the week, there's an even bigger bucket than the already biggest 18 piece. Also, regarding the nuggets, while we may not have the largest count (and also not the best looking apparently), we do have smaller counts. Even smaller than 25 follows a 12 piece, 8 piece and 6 piece and for reasons not even God knows, only the 6 piece includes dip. And we still do Chicken Popcorn. Regarding the burger and sandwiches, they left out the return of the mythical Chizza, now in sandwich form. A personal note: We used to have a burger which came in secret recipe but not anymore, sadly. Also interested how they included the different varieties of chicken pieces, but not secret recipe. How do you leave out the very foundation of KFC?

USD 1,695 per month as the average salary in Mexico? those numbers are crazy, just the minimum wage is USD 388 per month, if you live in Mexico you know that 1,695 is extremely inaccurate, the average monthly salary could be between $500 - $700 for the majority of individuals that don't have formal studies (more than 60% of Mexico population) and live in less urbanized or rural areas.
@trillionx98304 ай бұрын
I mean, an 'average' is an estimation between two values. If you're saying more than 60% of Mexico makes $500~$700, that's being leveraged with the remaining 40% of Mexico. Statistics can be skewered VERY easily because of 'bad actors' in math, where the value is technically true, but not real.
