At 2:25 an awesome little car to see run 'No Big Thing' would lift the front tires with every power shift. You didnt know if it had a 327 or 427 bcuz on the car was just 27. Who remembers?

Been there MANY times. My friend Marty was the starter for a while. Before we drove we hitched a ride from Glen Park. Lots of memories.

The speed shops were had around here back then...Motor Sport Research, Sontag Speed, Whites Pit Stop, the Chevy Shop, Dragway Speed Center, Poco Machine, Van Senus, The King...we had an embarassment of riches. Now we have almost nothing.

I grew up going to this dragstrip. Jeff Galka with the 1970 candy red Chevelle called Primo introduced me to drag racing when I was 11 years old by letting me tag along nearly every Sunday, Sunday, Sunday..., and I've been hooked ever since. If anyone knows what became of Jeff, I'd sure love to say hello.
