Graduated from basic july of 2021.. if you’re reading this and worried about basic training. Your one and only job is to show up. You will not fail unless you have a problem with authority and cause trouble repeatedly, even then you’ll still make it. Basic training was not hard any shape or form. You’re going to graduate whether you want to or not. Do 500 push ups in your living room right now, and those 500 push ups will be more challenging than 8.5 weeks of Air Force basic training.

Kiara, Congratulations and welcome to the team! Here are some things to help you before and during Basic Military Training (BMT) to prepare while being in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP). - Know your reporting statement (at the very minimum) - Teamwork is essential - Know your chain of command - Know the Airmen’s Creed - Know the Air Force Song - Know Air Force ranks (both enlisted & officers) - Know Air Force Core values - Recommend being at or close to the BMT PT graduation level before you go to BMT (always check with your doctor before exercising). Everything else will come with time. If you do not know any of the above please contact your recruiter for this information. Good luck future Airman! Ray U.S. Air Force and Space Force Recruiting

Although I didn't realize it at the time (1985-1988), the USAF was the best time of my life. Now, in my mid 50s, I would raise my hand again, and swear the oath in a heartbeat. To all the young men and women who are considering joining.....DO IT! You will not regret it. Being a part of the greatest Air Force in the world, will stay with you for life. The pride you will develop, cannot be earned elsewhere.

WOW! How things have changed! I am a retired MSgt, 25 years, 1966-1991, ( BMTS 3703 SQ, Flt 1783). I also served as MTI from 1971-74. I have enjoyed watching these videos, glad to see the level of discipline in BMT is constant and difficult ( although it was quite different in my day). One of the things I remember most when I was a MTI, was witnessing how you could actually see the level of confidence and teamwork through drill….foot beat, execution of movements, coordination and in their facial expressions. Loved serving as MTI, best part of my career.

My fiancé graduated about two weeks ago on Feb 2nd & 3rd, he was so changed when we reunited at his coin ceremony and at the parade the day after. Our time apart has made our relationship stronger. In general I noticed that my hubby became much more organized and neater, much more disciplined and responsible and a far more admirable man. My fiancé was chow-runner, and was in the warthogs squadron/ flight… I still can’t tell the difference. But if you consider joining, honestly just think about your outcome after BMT, and all the ups it brings with joining.

I graduated BMT in January '76. It's all a blur now. I did a four year enlistment. I am happy with my decision to enlist in the USAF. To this day, I still wear shirts with the Air Force logo on them. When some people see it, they smile and say, "thank-you for your service". I'm proud of the US and proud of the Air Force. My car's license plate frame says, "Veteran - US Air Force". In other words, I'm proud of my country.

@featgorgon39852 жыл бұрын
@@Juanchoe yes you get paid the moment you arrive at bmt
@USAirForceRecruiting2 жыл бұрын
Good morning, Juan. Generally, you will get paid on the 15th of the first month. However, if your information is entered into the Financial System later than the 7th, you should expect to get paid on the following 1st. If you are claiming any dependents, your first paycheck will contain your base pay as well as your housing allowance. If you are not claiming any dependents, your paycheck will only contain your base pay. The military prorates your first paycheck. For example, if you receive your first paycheck 30 days after you arrive, you will receive the full rate of the monthly basic pay in that paycheck. If, however, you receive your first paycheck two weeks after arrival, it will contain 1/2 of your monthly base pay, and 1/2 of your monthly housing allowance for those with dependents. Taxes and other deductions such as deductions for non-issue items will be taken out. Pam Air Force and Space Force Recruiting Service

Richardson, to be eligible to apply for Officer Training School (OTS) one must be a US citizen, have ANY baccalaureate degree or be within 365 days of graduating (a senior), you must have earned a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. Officer Training School (OTS) is a selection process. Just applying does not guarantee being selected. OTS is very competitive. OTS Selection Process: A Board of Senior Air Force Officers at Headquarters Air Force Recruiting Service will review your application. Selection is competitive and based on your desires, qualifications (such as aeronautical ratings, type bachelors or master’s degree, or civilian or military specialty skills), and specific Air Force manpower needs. Each applicant is evaluated for character, academic accomplishments, community service, and leadership potential. As part of the selection process, board members review both objective and subjective factors. Objectively, the board considers each applicants academic discipline, and AFOQT scores. Subjectively, board members evaluated work experience, accomplishments, adaptability, character leadership ability, potential for future growth, and other recommendations. For active duty enlisted members, performance reports and commanders recommendations are also evaluated. A minimum of three AF Colonels reviews every application. The selection process is similar to an AF Officer Promotion Board. Officer Training School (OTS) is a selection process. Just applying does not guarantee being selected. Key to the entire process is that no single factor leads to an individual’s selection. Ray U.S. Air Force and Space Force Recruiting

Is one apart of a group in tech school with people from other occupations? Also, is one officially on active duty after BMT? Active Duty means you can be departed at anytime right?

Why does the US Air Force treat and train the recruites with more dignity and respect than the marines or navy force?
@bbiggs2 жыл бұрын
The Air Force is strict but look at how we operate. It is more in line with how a business operates. The Marines and Army are out on the front lines taking on the enemy directly. They need more of that direct discipline to execute effectively.
